As I recall that was when Gallen was with us and was basically our Director of Football and entire scouting team and a large part of our recruitment consisted of him pulling in favours from his chums like Freedman at Palace for incredibly cheap loanees as we essentially had close to a zero budget.
    But, no, I am sure you are right and our scouts knew all about him and chose not to go for him even though we had as much money as the others.
