Shame about the early goal. We have done ok. Berry shouldn't be anywhere near the match day squad in my opinion. Hope Carey or Knibbs replace him but he seems to be a NJ favorite for some reason.3
-
Once again. NJ killing TCs confidence and development by playing him in a position he isn’t fit for.
TC has been very poor this game in terms of end product, but he is being horribly mismanaged8 -
I don't know how but we are still in this match. With the other scores going our way a point here could be massive! Need to finish better....1

Thankfully, Oxford and Portsmouth are losing as well. We simply have to match their results and we must beat them both. No excuses.ForeverAddickted said:

Think after a very poor start we are doing ok. Leaburn should have scored, a couple of passes from TC and Berry of putting someone in, ball wouldn't sit for Berry near the break, maybe should have had a pen. More of the same and we can get back in it.2

And yet they're top of the league.Hartleypete said:Coventry and berry are useless.
Funny old league.8 -
Like the last two games we’re still in it at half time, but we have to score the next goal if we’re going to get anything out of this.
Didn’t see why Berry starts and he’s done noting to change that. Agree we need Carey or Fullah on for him.
TC frustrating as usual, but he’s there because Olaofe isn’t as good and NJ presumably feels the same about Apter.6 -
I thought you were more positive mate...ForeverAddickted said:

But it’s what he does when he’s on the ballThe Red Robin said:
He’s a winger being shoe horned into every position except for his natural one.IR94 said:TC please take him off, Apter was good against oxford at lb, hasnt played there since, wtf NJ
in the final third that’s the problem! He's as dangerous as a rubber knife.1 -

Be good to get Anderson on for Berry at half time...eh? oh.1

Some woeful officiating decisions, capped off with denying a stonewall pen.
Looking at us, TC at wingback isn't working at all, way too much space down that side and he's not having a great game going forward either. Berry so so poor. Not sure how long these Bree set pieces can continue. But Bell, Leaburn and especially Kelman looking bright.
Fullah for TC and Carey or Knibbs for Berry at HT. Charlton 2-1 to get the year started right0 -

5 floodlights already broken, clubs gone to pot!7 -
He'll bring docherty on for yhe next half no doubt

I mean Mourhinio would pribably love a docherty type

I have a feeling that Coventry are not exactly in first gear but actually idling and cruising along, if we have the temerity to score, they will simply up a gear. One thing we don't want to do is give the ball away whilst we have possession, Bree tried it first and we got away with it, Berry wasnt so lucky. Leaburn, Bell, Jones, Jones, Burke and Rankin Costello are at least competing, do we look like scoring, No !5

What is his position mate ?Laddick01 said:Once again. NJ killing TCs confidence and development by playing him in a position he isn’t fit for.

a winger that refuses to go past people ?
a striker who couldn’t hit a barn door from 10 feet away ?
I agree he is a young player with some potential but he is nowhere near a championship player4 -
We look like an average League One team. Full of plodders, virtually zero quality.Get Carey on for Berry3
-
Jones just flat out doesn't play with wingers, so not sure how TC will ever fit in properly here.Laddick01 said:Once again. NJ killing TCs confidence and development by playing him in a position he isn’t fit for.

The second striker/wing role doesn't work either due to his lack of end product.0 -
We're playing okay in my view. Positive thinking from me. Carey for Berry please and fullah for TC.

As others have said, after a dodgy start doing OK. Coventry don't exactly look world beaters.
But we are so poor up front. Mind you with just a stream of hopeful and overhit crosses into the box, the forwards haven't got much to work with.
Don't understand what Berry brings to this team. Get Carey or Knibbs on.
And feel sorry for Campbell. FFS Jones, he's not a wing back and you will knock his confidence right back if you keep playing him there.

What annoys me about that coventry potentially getting a 2nd yellow card. Not one player other than JRC was at the ref. You just know if thats against us there would 10 players storming the ref.2
-
Missed the first 3 minutes and wasn't surprised to see us 1 nil down. Since then, they've (cov) not done much, and we've been more threatening. Kelman is quality. It's a penalty in my book, the hand prevented the ball from hitting the net, that decision would go against us if it was reversed.
I feel like the officials don't like NJ, as we're getting sweet FA from them every week. He must be on their shit list.3 -
Nonsensical take, we need more composure in the final 3rd. Not Anderson's strongest area!Alwaysneil said:Be good to get Anderson on for Berry at half time...eh? oh.2 -

Played well after another early goal conceded.
Good chances but no end product. Really missing athleticism in the middle though. Jrc playing well anf Cov got better but Berry is a donkey, like watching someone run in treacle.0 -
First 3 minutes aside I thought that was actually quite good. Put it together in the final third and we’ll be ok.3

If they come out for the second half and Berry is still playing I have no words and as good as our defence is Jones can’t keep relying on them to keep clean sheets if he’s insistent on playing his system without a proper LWB.0
