Pre-Christmas lunch in London town - suggestions, please

Visiting for the weekend of the Millwall match, and looking to have a Christmas lunch out in town with relatives on the Sunday - will be seven or eight of us, including one vegetarian and one elderly Step Mum, who's not so keen on overly fancy food. Looking for somewhere close to either London Bridge, Waterloo or Charing Cross, that isn't too pricey, but will be good for a special occasion eg has nice views, and where we can linger for the afternoon.
Have wondered about the restaurant at Tate Modern or Brasserie at Oxo Tower - any views or other suggestions welcome. Thanks in advance.

Dickens inn at St Katherines dock is nice. Right near tower bridge. Decent pub with a separate restaurant.

Roast at Borough market is excellent, not cheap but no more expensive than the Oxo.

Also try toptable, they often have good 50% off, offers...0 -
Wherever you go Ii'd advise you do a web search for discount vouchers, vouchercodes is a good one.
Porters in Henrietta Street near Covent Garden is very good and excellent VFM, albeit it doesn't have the views you might be looking for.0
