  • AFKA - I know we are not the only ones who have ever done it before etc and everyone has off days.

However, I'm not sure how well it came on tv but being there yesterday the lack of effort from our players was a joke. Literally there was barely any desire to wear the shirt, sprint in for balls, track back. A lot seemed content to hide in the middle of the park and at times be ridiculously lazy. The only thing the fans want to see is effort, and the majority of our players looked like they could not care less.

I honestly thought that this attitude from the players displayed in the last few years whilst we've been on the slide had vanished. Clearly not

Clearly the players all picked themselves.
  • stu , parky took up the previous role he had(for 18 months) with pardew for this fixture , he disappeared and it had nothing to do with him

    Yesterday was truly awful.
We were comprehensively beaten and only seemed to come to life when we went behind.
We could not blame the pitch or say we were unlucky no one could have complained if we had lost 3-0 we created nothing of note.
None of this matters of course if we get promotion. But in the middle of a dip in form a return to a performance like that is hugely disconcerting. As bad as anything in the last two years.
We need to make a real response, be very hard to beat at the very least at Soton, and a win against MK. Otherwise there is a real risk we will start to slide away like the last two seasons and that will be an absolute disaster for this club.
Yesterday is done. We must react and respond in the right way on the pitch.

It's all Jimmy Anderson's fault - He drew us out of the bag for the draw.

Agreed and I've said as much in various posts on numerous threads.

Large, show me one Charlton fan who has posted that he/she is "happy".

You can't can you, because no-one is, how can they be.

However, just because people don't wet their knickers at the first sign of trouble out comes the old "rose tinted" line again.

    Change the record.
