    During 1993/1994 season Charlton had already played 25 league games , 2 Coca - Cola cup games and 6 Anglo-Italian cup games Jan3rd making 33 games played.

    If West Ham and Wolves are both relegated from the top flight and none of Watford, West Brom or Wrexham are promoted it will mean there are no sides beginning with the letter W in the top flight of English football for the first time ever.

    That will leave A as the only letter that has been represented in every season.

    Talking of which. The father of Olympic Champion skater, Robin Cousins - Fred Cousins - was an apprentice goalkeeper at Millwall before WWII. He contracted TB when serving in Mombassa and that put paid to any chance of a pro career after the war.

    Crystal Palaces's humiliation by non-league Macclesfield this afternoon gives them the worst ever record as 'holders' of the cup*.

    *I haven't actually checked if this is true, but I'm thinking it must be, and even if it isn't I still like to think of it that way ;)

    United were holders and chose to go to the Club World Cup instead of defending the FA Cup. I would say they are the worst before today. There were 117 places between Macclesfield and Palace. No 6th tier side has ever beaten a top flight side either.

    Nuno Espirito Santo has won more Spurs home games as the visiting manager than he did while he was Spurs' manager (3 as the home manager, 4 with 3 different visiting clubs).

    Leicester beat Norwich 2-1 this season, and Manning was sacked... Leicester beat West Brom 2-1 and Mason got sacked... Leicester lost 1-2 against Oxford... and their Manager got sacked.

    Went to three of those, passed on the midweek league cup game. Think they were sick of the sight of us by the end of the season.
