BBC Breakfast just did a piece putting Wrexhams win up there as one of the great giant killing feats, do me a favour they’ve spent a fortune on players. Dobson looked very good though, still shocking how we handled his situation.6

They're always gonna get the " little old Wrexham" nonsense from the wider media. They spent £9m on a centre half in the summer.....0 -
They did a bit yesterday on our game, showing an interview with Paul Elliot being a former Chelsea player and on our board, never mentioned that he started his career with us.Nug said:BBC Breakfast just did a piece putting Wrexhams win up there as one of the great giant killing feats, do me a favour they’ve spent a fortune on players. Tbf Wrexham are 12 places below Forest in the football pyramid currently. Beating someone that much higher really is the stuff of dreams.

Not sure why someone LOL Nug's post 🤔
George Dobson is a super fit player and played the 120 + minutes with not only the same fitness as when he was at CAFC but his set pieces were excellent last night to go with his tackling; he also did a 40 yard cross field pass with aplomb ! I wasn't surprised that some Charlton fans on CL tried to denigrate George because it's what they do. Not being offered a contract which would make him the highest paid player at the valley (which he deserved) then like all professional footballers with any self belief you move on. If Nathan had joined Charlton earlier then a different outcome may have occurred.
I have never seen any film Ryan Reynolds and his buddy have ever been in but it is a story that they picked Wrexham a team in the National League to take over with their 12k stadium and they have kept faith with Phil Parkinson when they could've replaced him with a Wayne Rooney type high profile star name.
How can going from National League to Championship not be a story despite the high wages paid to the players on this Journey.
No way was it a cup upset last night when Forest played many reserve players, and Gibbs-White just watches the 1st half and Anderson is given the night off.
The main ambition of Forest this season is to finish above West Ham so the struggling Hammers can join Burnley and Wolves in the Championship for 26/27.

It's an experiment to see if you can take any random team and buy your way to the top, so far it appears you can.0

The way West Ham are going, they may just have to finish above Burnley or Wolves.soapboxsam said:Nug said:BBC Breakfast just did a piece putting Wrexhams win up there as one of the great giant killing feats, do me a favour they’ve spent a fortune on players. Palace away to Macclesfield’s kicked off, on BBC1. 4G pitch and Palace have made a few changes, hopefully a recipe for an upset.2

Apparently, you can now play for two clubs in the FA Cup. WTF.0

What's the point of BBC and TNT both showing the same match, when there's loads of others to pick from?4
-
Surely they could do better than that for 3rd round day away at a prem side?

IF and it's a very big IF, Palace were to go out today it would be like a Wimbledon champion going out the next year in round 1 to a qualifier!
I really can't see it happening but you never know 🤞🏻

To be fair it's not exactly a new ground is it, they play them in the league every other season.Elthamaddick said:

Stretching it a bit with X's team.
Apparently it's now Wayne Rooney's brothers Macclesfield.3 -
I was surprised at this as well, but it seems rules changed for cup competitions this season.guinnessaddick said:Apparently, you can now play for two clubs in the FA Cup. WTF.
Semenyo for example played for Bournemouth in the league cup 2nd round and is allowed to play for City in their semi final in midweek.0 -
Well, sort of.soapboxsam said:IF and it's a very big IF, Palace were to go out today it would be like a Wimbledon champion going out the next year in round 1 to a qualifier!

I’d say the comparison only works if that Wimbledon Champion was a surprise winner. I’d equate it to Emma Raducanu going out in round 1 of the US Open the year after winning it…1 -
Palace are all over the shop. Proper rattled.1
