Mannion got the ball first. Never a pen
I’m bias sometimes but there’s no doubt that’s a penalty.

Never a penalty got his hands to the ball and the player continued into him. Legitimate save as called by the commentary team.

Disaster really. Not the result but Bell's injury. We better have some decent business lined up.

Out of the FA Cup (albeit much further in than in recent years), some more injuries ... but here's a silver lining:

Still unbeaten in the league this calendar year. Marvellous.

3-1 would have been a fairer result. They were much better than us, and our first half display was very solid.

Second half we went off the boil a bit and clearly tiredness/fatigue set in.

Genuinely proud of our performance today. Shouldn’t hang our heads

Need a defensive replacement in this week. No excuses

I don’t mind losing convincingly but when you have a c*** of a ref that gives two goals that shouldn’t have been then that fucking rilles me. No way was that a penalty. Cheating bastard.
  • Was fine up to the Bell injury I thought, got a bit messy after that with the injuries.
    The Macca effect
Probably would have been fine had Bell not been injured
I think that Macca is just about good enough at our level, but he needs cover from a proper Wing-Back

Thought we did ok - modern football is aa absolute joke - how do we compete with a money making machine like Chelsea? Scrapping cup replays to accommodate crap like this is the last straw

Commentary was shocking - looking forward to Tel and co next weekend and real football…

People are gonna whine in this thread but I thought they played well given the circumstances of the squad. Hopefully they play with this fight and passing during the rest of the season.

I’m surprised the TNT cameras stayed off Rosenior long enough to show a bit of the football 🤦🏻‍♀️🤬
  • Watching from the sofa tonight, pretty happy with a lot of what I've seen against a nearly half a billion pound squad. That was never a pen at the end, Mannion got to the ball.
Ah well, on to Sheffield, can't wait to revert to type next week.

I had forgotten how up the arse of the Sky (TNT) six the TV coverage was. No hiding it here. Unfair scorline. Never a penalty.

It can cover his deficiencies. He’s not a Championship player.
  • lol!... This interview with Hato is hilarious, especially the player not giving a single shit about not getting MOTM from TNT

Yep. That’s all we want to see. Take that performance from the first hour into Saturday.

Are you there or watching on the tv?

The replay shows Mannion getting his hands to the ball first.

  • Thought the sky coverage was poor in previous matches, but TNT were hopelessly biassed tonight

Don't care about the score, absolutely devastated that Bell has pulled up again though. I honestly think he or an equivalent is the difference between survival and relegation. If we haven't already we need to sign a LCB with some pace, whatever it costs. Add a LWB to that and we'll be ok. Lots to like in terms of our endeavour. Mannion did quite well, though he sent plenty of shots back towards attackers as all keepers do because football is real life. I don't think he'll get the stick Kaminski would. Which is fine, it's just Kaminski shouldn't get it either. Gough I thought was pretty good until the end when he started getting spun like a top by fresh attackers. He's good enough as a third choice RCB but I am still praying for a quick return for Ramsay. I think we'll feel the loss of TC as well, I hope that's not a long one. We went into the window needing a LWB, a centre mid and competition for TC, add a quick LCB to that urgently

To be fair our performances this calendar year haven't been too different
One slack moment that cost us against Coventry, and then a costly injury at Blackburn

I think the boys gave everything, the gulf in finances and quality is beyond massive and we gave it a go against them, scoreline flattered them too.
    No shame here.

No worries if we play like that rest of season

    Score don't reflect performances

Still think it was a pen
