    Not sure if it impacts Dykes movement but Birmingham have just had a deal for a striker fall through. They might not want to let Dykes leave until they’ve signed a striker themselves

    I've heard stuff and reported it on here - one bit (the Scanlon info) was from a completely new source who i do trust wouldn't make it up but far from tried and tested. The other bit (3 + bree) comes from a previously used  source who's successful info rating is decent but not cast iron. (ex local press kinda standard) Long gone are the days of nailed on, right from the people making the decisions info. Some of those now ring my Dad up to find out what's going on  :D

    Those rumours are probably circulating in everybody's minds  - player joins in the same position as a player we already have - of course that will generate rumours - i think the summer is the time the Ramsey situation will be addressed - we'd be mad to do anything else unless a £10m+ offer comes in, then you might have to look at it.

    As said several times before, people seem to be putting 2 and 2 together and getting 44.

    Clarke seems to be a Bree replacement. Whether that's at RWB or on the right of the back 3 and Ramsay moving back out wide remains to be seen

    If Ramsay goes to Middlesbrough the comparisons to 2019/20 will get out of hand:
    Won the Play-Off Final
    Lost a Defender to Preston (Small and Bauer)
    Had an Injury Crisis inc. our main Striker from last season
    Lost a Defender to Middlesbrough (Dijksteel and Ramsay)
    Ah, but the law of alternating outcomes means we need this to happen. First time pattern = relegation, Second time pattern = staying up, Third time pattern = relegation, etc.

    I don’t understand why people think that just  because Clarke has come in. That position isn’t as covered as people think. As we’re seeing now injuries to both Ramsay and Burke have us putting an academy player in the starting 11. Gough is a promising player but we need that backline to be as solid and experienced as possible for the relegation fight. Then if we can’t keep Bree we have someone to cover RWB too.

    I would put losing Ramsay on a par with Thierry Small not resigning….very talented player who I love to watch

    Yeah thanks for pointing that out, the 2 and 2 together are also his squad number at Ipswich and Ramsay's current squad number here.... But jokes are no longer funny when you have to explain them

    My mind could be playing tricks on me but I’m pretty sure Ramsay played a lot of the second half at Coventry away covering the left side of defence. Maybe this will be a short term plan if he’s back from injury. Signing Clarke might just free up Ramsay to do that.

    Genuinely think if Leicester are in for Dykes, he will go there. Played under their manager at QPR, so would make sense.

    Am more bothered that we have an LWB for Saturday than Dykes tbh. Still not overly convinced Dykes will happen with all the other established names being thrown around.
