Well no, should we struggle in the next two games and Pompey beat Wednesday and Watford AND Norwich beat Wrexham and West Brom AND Blackburn get two points off Ipswich and Swansea then we'll be in the bottom three.Berkshire1970 said:
We need to win at least one of the next two games. At this rate it’s going to be difficult & should we struggle we’ll be in the bottom three. Not sure if we’ve got time on our hands to fix a few deadline loans.swords_alive said:dmccart32 said:Can someone please explain the Roussillon situation? From memory he's played half a u21 game against Preston U21 on 2nd December and then 70 minutes against Ipswich U21 on 22nd December.
He's 33 and last played for Guadeloupe in June!
He was on the bench for 4 games and didn't play a single minute!
Not featured in the match squad since Oxford!
I presume we are paying him right?
Now I understand he might not have been fit, but WHAT is the point of all of this when we have been crying out for a left-wingback throughout December!
Now we are nearly half-way through the transfer window and unless something changes in the next couple of days we are going to have to deal with Apter or TC at left-wing back on Saturday.

CAFC linked with Croatian striker Slobodan bigscrotumovich commonly known as the ‘Bagsman’13

If he's in the 93rd percentile of championship forwards for goals per 90 mins, that means he's better than 93% of the league in that stat, meaning he's a better "bagsman" than almost all of the league3 -
I know right...thank co-pilot for that!sam3110 said:

Tom Lawrence’s impressive start to life in Australia has alerted a number of Championship clubs, with Norwich City, Blackburn Rovers and Charlton Athletic all monitoring the midfielder’s situation following his short-term move to Perth Glory.
Lawrence, who joined the A-League side on a short-term deal, has made an immediate impact.
In just nine appearances, the former Wales international has registered seven goal contributions and picked up three Man of the Match awards, quickly establishing himself as one of the standout performers in the league.
Norwich City’s interest is understood to be influenced by Lawrence’s previous working relationship with former Rangers manager, Philippe Clement, while Blackburn Rovers - a club where he previously spent time on loan - are also tracking his progress.
Charlton Athletic are another potential suitor, with head coach Nathan Jones’ Welsh connection believed to be a factor.
Perth Glory are reportedly keen to reward Lawrence’s form with a longer-term contract, but sources suggest they may struggle to compete financially should Championship clubs firm up their interest.

Wouldn’t mind lawerence at all. The fact that our manager is Welsh surely isn’t a factor at all. Crap journalism that.8

Good player but be prepared to hear songs about his drink driving week in week out if we get him...0

In footballing terms think most would describe this as basic. He’s an average footballer at best barring in mind he hardly tore up league 1 either. True, Birmingham are a big club but he’s not getting game time hence his move. Think the player and our budget are in aligned.Belv said:

Right, and we aren't the only club interested or the only ones talking to his reps, couldn't be any less basic.Berkshire1970 said:

I think we should be looking at creative players, one of the biggest reasons we don't score is because we don't create anything. Wingbacks who can't cross and a midfield who would get a nose bleed if they passed forward. You can buy Dykes, Mijonisisjxnxjndh or even Messi strikers will struggle in this side.6

I can’t see us being in for Lawrence. We have too many number 10s as it is.To me that article is most likely his agent trying to up his contract offer from Perth, or drive up some interest and offers elsewhere, rather than it being concrete interest from us. Always wary when an article links 3 clubs, this feels like the usual number for agent bait/clickbait stories5

Dykes would be good cover for Leaburn but doubt we attract him on loan without a promise to play him. I trust Jones but I'd rather have Leaburn, I would at least want to see evidence that his recent imrovement at the level is a flash in the pan!0

He’s only played 420 minutes so far this season. Leaburn would still be first choice but Dykes will probably appear in every game and also start quite a few too. He’d also probably get more starts for us than he would for the other teams interested in him, or than he would be staying at Birmingham. If he wants a decent amount of championship football we are probably his best betMuttleyCAFC said:Dykes would be good cover for Leaburn but doubt we attract him on loan without a promise to play him. Tom Lawrence only has 7 work rate in FM, NJ would have filtered him out when he first set up his player search screen 🙂Callumcafc said:https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-15463591/amp/tom-lawrence-championship-transfer-perth-glory.htmlTom Lawrence’s impressive start to life in Australia has alerted a number of Championship clubs, with Norwich City, Blackburn Rovers and Charlton Athletic all monitoring the midfielder’s situation following his short-term move to Perth Glory.
