From Charlie Sale's Daliy Mail column today:

"It doesn’t say much for Charlton Athletic that not one of their directors - and until recently they had 18 of them - bothered to attend their FA Cup first-round defeat at Northwich Victoria."

Feel free to sink if its in the other Northwich threads, but I can't bear to read em now. . .

In general we didn't bother so why should they BUT surely someone should have attended to extend the hand of friendship and represent the Club. Bad show IF true.

As I said in an earlier post.............did we deserve what we got ?

If even the directors can't bother turning up then we do deserve what we got.

    shambles.

Then the Mail are talking out of their backside then. Mr Waggott is a club director according to the last home programme.

optimistic on the fooking game!!!!!!.......we were playing a side who train twice a week together for a total of 2 hours !!!!!, I'd have been 'optimistic' my sunday side could've given them a better work out !!!!

Here we go again ...... more angst and hunting for scapegoats.
    Which achieves what, exactly?

The hack is only digging for dirt to squeeze the last bit of muck from that game.

And without their top goalscorer as well as their Captain which, at the level, is a fair chunk of the Team.

In fairness, there's a fair bit of muck to be squeezed.

    Have we?

Whats happened, did I miss something??
  • Bet they will all be at Old Trafford for the 3rd Round.

Sorry I forgot for a moment.
  • I was all set to put aside my optimistic, hopeful outlook to agree that if none of them were there, that would be poor.

Now I'm thinking that if one was there, who is to say that there weren't more? Once again, can't always believe what you read (save on the OS stone tablets, mind).

Saving themselves for tonight probably, could be picking up some freebie paint to do up the boardroom. Northwich could only offer cement from the works next door.
  • Mr Sale seems to like mentioning us in negative light. There was a lot of stuff he mentioned about the 'takeover'. He's obviously in with someone in (or who wants to be in) the boardroom, or has an agenda against us......

Yeah read that earlier comment and that was no less boring.
