oh and anyone travelling down here later, its a bit miserable looking outside but the black clouds are going. starting to brighten up.

Is the M3->M27 still pants after last night's accident? Was going to do park'n'ride. Any suggestions if it's still slow?

its all re-opened. however, the park and ride is off j8 of M27 and there is slow moving traffic there at the moment. should clear up though. alternative is to come off the M3 at eastleigh and follow the signs to the airport then down to the city centre. once you get to the city centre plenty of parking. most on road parking is £2 after 6pm.

Cheers HA - will probably start off J7 M3 sometime between 5:30 and 6 but I'll do a interweb check on the roads and decide route then I think.

Interesting team Uncle, only changes I would make would be to swap Dailly (captain) for Llera and Mooney for Tuna.
  • Hopefully spring will get the midfield working again with short neat football feeding the boys. I think we've lacked that recently. Been To much hoofing it upfield. Tuna i fancy banging one in. The lad sounds sharp.

No chance tonight. We just haven't got what it takes. I hope we have a shot on target tonight but I'm doubtful.

A "50th Match In Charge Of Charlton" celebration for Parky tonight with a 3-1 defeat.

Wonder why Mooney doesn't get a single start ......?

    No Omo, either.
Perhaps Parky has been even less impressed than we have.

some of you, including uncle, seem to have forgotten that we have to play SIX of the players that have made most appearances for us this season.

Three of those six are injured though arent they (or we can say they are): Burton, Elliot and Richardson.

do we then have to go down and select the 7th, 8th and 9th on the basis that they would then form part of our "top 6"?

Good point, Large. I'd forgotten that.

Obviously Omo with 2 appearances, wouldn't be one of the 6 most appearances.
Pleased for Randolph that he gets the nod.

So Youga, Llera, Waggy(subs), Jonjo & Bailey add up to 5.
Spring & Sodje only about 6 or 7 appearances each.
The rest, just a handful of appearances behind them.

Semedo, Sam, Dailly & Racoon have played most matches but not starting or benched.
And Robbie, Burton, Richardson injured, with McLeod, erm .... unavailable.

EDIT: Meant to make the point that we are not playing 6 players with most appearances - as Dailly, Sam & Racon have each made more appearances than Llera, Waggy or Jonjo.

EDIT to the EDIT, lol: Unless, the criteria is not the most appearances - simply a qualifying minimum of appearances like 6 starts or something.....?

Who knows what the poxy rules are. ;o)

Charlton's odd are drifting fast! Have the team's been announced?
  • http://www.justin.tv/vipfootball_9 says that it will be on live later, if you haven't got Sky or would rather watch the match and follow Charlton Life than go to the pub. They seem to be running Sky Sports News at the moment.

70% opposition win is the highest percentage for an oppo win we've had for a long time.

So Bailey, Racon and Sodje don't make the 16...

    all rested obviously

contrasted with the Southampton team (who made one change in goal)... we look pretty understrength but as expected I suppose (note the 5 changes from our starting unbeaten run... Racon, Elliot, Richardson, Burton, Bailey)

lSTill a pretty useful line up - Waggy deserves a run and Shelvey needs to shine
