Winter-January 2026 Transfer Window Rumours ...

I found it interesting that NJ played Anderson in an unfamiliar 6 role when Gough who hasn't embarrassed himself at CH, has been a regular CDM for U21s but wasn't in squad.1
-
Or any midfield position. He cannot control the ball or pass.killerandflash said:I don't want any injuries obviously, but we were overstocked in the 10 position anyway, so it's no major issue. Carey, Berry, Fullah is plenty of cover, and Apter is an option as well.
What today DID show, is that Anderson can't play the Coventry sitting midfielder position.5 -
Wouldn’t mind seeing Fullah thereCafcSCP said:Can try apter in the 103 -
Badly missed both Doc and Coventry today .. Anderson shall I drive him to Wycombe .. he was all over the placecfgs said:
If Coventry is not playing I think Doc should be, he is better at times than he looks and we could do with his oomph at times like this.Scoham said:
Not without signing a replacement I would guess. We need a bigger squad than 20 players, so unless we have a lot of injuries some will always miss out.AberystwythAddick said:Olafe and Doc not in the squad. Could either of them be going out?2 -
If you can drive mate im selling my motor tomorrow, frightening stuffRonnieMoore said:

If you agree to stay there with him, fill your boots.RonnieMoore said:

I’m concerned there’s no funds available and we’re going to juggle loans to fill the holes. Unless of course that’s why Docherty and Olaofe weren’t on the bench. Sell before we buy possibly?0

Doc won’t be happy not playing, damaging his chances of a Scotland call up0

I’m sure you probably got what I was saying, I’d maybe be trying Fullah in that position before Apter. Whenever I’ve asked if Apter has ever played as a 10 that suggests it as an option, nobody answers.Croydon said:0 -
Haven't the owners said they've put 10m aside for it?Berkshire1970 said:I’m concerned there’s no funds available and we’re going to juggle loans to fill the holes. Unless of course that’s why Docherty and Olaofe weren’t on the bench. Sell before we buy possibly?0 -

If Knibbs is out for a while we need another body in there, many of us wanted someone in there anyway.
LWB has to be the number 1 priority still, yet another square peg in a round hole today in Bree, that's him, Ramsay, Campbell, Bell, Hernandez, Fullah and Apter all played there this season already whilst we're missing Edwards, and Rousillon signed for there too, and it's blindingly obvious how much it hinders us.
Without Bree we need another right sided player too, Burke and Ramsay at RCB, Clarke and AN.Other at RWB, or we move Ramsay out to RWB and bring in a new RCB (probably my preference right now given how poor Ramsay has been recently) with Gough, maybe a returning Z.Mitchell, and Apter as the emergency cover.
LCB is then a bit of a luxury I guess, but unless Bell is back by next weekend (and no-one knows how long it will be til the next injury, but it probably won't be far away) then I really think we need to sign one.
So that's 4 more signings potentially, unless we're happy with Carey and Berry being the only 10s we have in the squad for a while1 -

We won’t bring in another LCB can only justify it if we were to sell Macca and I don’t think a lot of clubs are lining up for him at present. We have Berry Fullah Carey who can play in the 10 so there’s not a dire need to replace Knibbs especially since that was only his 5th start today.sam3110 said:If Knibbs is out for a while we need another body in there, many of us wanted someone in there anyway.

we will need a massive overhaul in the summer binning off the likes of Karoy Doc Macca etc and replacing them with better plays but for where we are now 2 wingbacks is the must0 -
Imray got no minutes today for palace so still means he can head out on loan
get him in and a LWB and then we are looking better1 -

If Bell is out for 6 weeks, we absolutely need another LCB, who would you play there if Macca gets an injury or suspended?Crispywood said:

honestly i really dont understand this whole 'we cant have a big squad' mindset? what is the reasoning behind this? especially when you sign numerous injury peone players and expect them to cover multiple positions with no other options, i think its utterly bizarre0

We don't have a small squad though. If you include Fullah and Gough we have 29 players in the squad. That isn't a small squad at allCaptainBeefheart said:honestly i really dont understand this whole 'we cant have a big squad' mindset? what is the reasoning behind this? especially when you sign numerous injury peone players and expect them to cover multiple positions with no other options, i think its utterly bizarre0 -
FOUR ???Carl_bratton said:Need 4 more now in two weeks. Three defenders and a creative midfielder, let’s hope it’s not a last minute dash
We've had 2 months to source a LWB and still havent signed anyone. What makes you think we'll sign 4 players in 2 weeks. And those 4 players being fit & good enough to play 90 mins from day 1.
