Nathan Jones was a left back, maybe he wants the position himself or can’t find anyone else up to standards. He can be the best version of himself5

Anyone heard anymore transfer rumours?0

So on Tuesday we are almost three weeks into the transfer window and no LWB in the door despite knowing we needed one since late September. Thats four games without a settled side when we could have solved the issue.
If not Mauragis or a potential gem, why not a journeyman to get us over the line this season? Bidwell, Purrington, Reach, none of whom would break the bank and would probably have got us more points if bought on NYD.
What are our scouts doing?8 -

Why not? sorry to waste your valuable screen time and offend your delicate sensibilities, but we will soon be right back to the red hot and accurate, nailed on rumours that this page normally consists of anytime now.Bailey said:
Could I ask, why this pile of shit was put on here by 'Gringo' and why is anybody commenting about a 'made up fan's' opinion, I blocked this stupid site I would recommend that you do the same, especially 'Gringo'.Scoham said:

...for total bollocks! Who on earth is this Alfie feller?
This is one of those be careful what you wish for scenarios. TC is our only wide outlet with pace, for all his weaknesses he’s played an important part in keeping us out of the bottom 3 so far.
Leaburn’s improved recently and there’s plenty more to come from him at this level.
If they leave it won’t be to a lower level. They’re both 22 and in their first season at this level, too early to say they can’t improve.
Perhaps you could supply a list of all the other sites that you disapprove of, so I can block them also?1 -
Bell and Edwards last started together, 27th September, the summer transfer window closed 1st September, so in answer to your question about what our scouts were doing ? probably looking forlornly at closed window would almost certainly be the answer.Gisappointed said:So on Tuesday we are almost three weeks into the transfer window and no LWB in the door despite knowing we needed one since late September. So why no left sided defender in since 27th September with three weeks of a window and four wasted games?
Do they not do research until the next window opens?
I've put forward four options. Who is on their list?3 -
Gringo, I don't know if you realise that every time you click on that sight they rack up money because of your click. They splash a headline that draws you in. It's not down to me to decide what you watch or what you believe but, your headline was, 'talking of rumours how about this' and it rightly got trashed. You asked me what sites you should avoid though and I will give you some advice, don't be fooled mate, this site is using your love of Charlton to make money, give them and their fake supporter a wide berth.gringo said:

We play 6 league games in January you can’t register a player in time for one of those (Coventry) and with 2 days training they would very likely only make the bench for the following game (Blackburn). So realistically we either rush and get in the first LB we can find for these 4 games who may be crap or find a better LWB for the remaining 16 and bare in mind one of those 4 league games we have ended up winning anyway without one.Would we have liked someone in quicker yes in the grand scheme of things is a season defining moment absolutely not1

They’ve also mentioned they have 4 targets but transfers aren’t as simple as saying to a club “we want X, give him to us” Finding targets is the easy bitGisappointed said:So why no left sided defender in since 27th September with three weeks of a window and four wasted games?

Do people really, truly think that our scouts have done nothing since September and that a list of 4 players is more extensive than the myriad of data they trawl through in their profession? Or do we think they're all a bunch of chancers with no professional pride and don't understand the fundamentals of their job (like when the transfer window is open). It is frustrating that we've not signed the left back we need, but to suggest that nothing is going on behind the scenes is at best naiveGisappointed said:So why no left sided defender in since 27th September with three weeks of a window and four wasted games?

Gis, we couldn't sign anyone after the 1st September, they didn't get injured till the 27th of that month, so we didn't think we needed cover the day after the 1st September and couldn't get anyone because the window was shut, come the 27th we did need someone but the window was shut almost a month previously.Gisappointed said:So why no left sided defender in since 27th September with three weeks of a window and four wasted games?

Look at my post. We have been looking for a lwb since 27th of September. Why haven't we signed one after four month's searching, three weeks into the Jan window?Bailey said:

I don’t think anyone is saying our scouts have been idle or that we havnt got a list of targets. It’s who and how good those targets are and will they be able to come in and improve us. I’d say Dykes and Clarke are nothing much better than we currently have. Not players that are going to impact our season. Getting relegated is going to cost us much more than loosening the purse strings a little more than we would want. I think we’re in a relegation scrap and nothing I’ve seen so far in this window convinces me that’s going to change.3

Dykes already has an assist in a 1-0 win, so well on the way to impacting our season.ShootersHillGuru said:I don’t think anyone is saying our scouts have been idle or that we havnt got a list of targets. It was fine but no better than TC playing there. The fact you can't remember it probably says all there is to say about the performance!Starinnaddick said:
