Maintenance issues at The Valley

I’m surprised it hasn’t been mentioned elsewhere so thought I’d start this thread. At the Chelsea game it was reported there were issues of fans being deep in urine in the East Stand toilets because a urinal trough was blocked. Well today that trough had been taped off and out of use. This meant there were big queues for the other urinals and the cubicles so much so that fans could barely get in the door.

Is this really the best they could do in a week, tape it off? I heard a number of fans say to mates they might pee in the sinks although I didn’t hang around to see if this happened. For me this is just another example of poor maintenance at The Valley. I was banging on here, and reported it numerous times, of a broken lock on one of the cubicle doors which took two seasons to get fixed. Is this lack of maintenance and repair acceptable? Can we expect the same on Tuesday?

    Take your pick.........

Owners not wanting to spend money on an asset they don't own ?

Owners not wanting to spend money full stop

Management at club level don't have a clue what's going on or how to fix things.

Money all gone on super duper light show & pyrotechnics last Saturday.

Don't you know how in demand pumbers are now half have left the country since Brexit.

I also noticed the bog situation. Against Chelsea, it was like a garden water feature, with yellow water cascading onto the floor. There was no chance I was wading through that. I (naively) assumed it would been sorted for this game. On the plus side, It's nice to see we finally have owners that are reluctant to take the piss out of the supporters.

As soon as you see anything like this then email - fans@cafc.co.uk and if you don’t get a satisfactory response then email them again until they resolve it

Granted they should be checking these things before hand and after games but tell them regardless

    Surely you misunderstand.

Our new owners have put right the things behind the scenes and are here for the long term.

It’s not all about monetising every fan interaction. 😉☹️

You wouldn’t want to be in the ground when should there be a power cut.
The last time I worked there, the UPS that powers lighting was shot.
Still the original unit that was well past life expectancy.
I do wonder sometimes how the ground passes fire sign off.

Trust someone from the club has read the above, and takes the correct action to deal with this if that is still the case today.

There was a big sign in the AC Stand gents’ toilet which said the taped-off trough would be fixed by the next matchday. Forgive my scepticism given that this is two working days later, but we’ll see.

There’s about four different types of dead bird hanging from the netting at our end of the West Upper. Most have been there for well over a year. It’s becoming a bit of a dead bird watcher’s paradise.

Not good if birds are getting trapped in the netting either.

For those in Hospitality on Tuesday evening, don't choose the sausage & mash option...

Wish they would fix the missing piece of clear corrugated plastic where the covered end joins the Curbs stand. Looks pretty shit and been like it for ages.
They were up on the roof sorting out the lights. Could have done it at the same time.

Can I just say that, I am not a plumber, I haven't left the country, and I certainly didnt vote for Brexit, quite simply, the blame lies elsewhere.

Taking a pick and shovel to the stands is a bit extreme.

Still remember when that speaker fell from the east stand roof a few years ago. So fortunate no one was underneath it
