Funnily enough he went viral over the weekend for getting wiped out in a game, before getting up and giving it back twice as hard.MarcusH26 said:

good feed bacl on this post. For me, i think, given weve teied about 8 players there nearly all of whom minus bell are not left backs, surely he could have had one chance. he may have surprised a few. from what ive seen he is technically very good and his set peices are excellent. playing him as a wing back would mean we could be a bit less worried about physicality i thought. anyway its sadly not gonna happenScoham said:
I’ve watched plenty of u21 streams this season and last season (🤓 Football Manager research) and I wasn’t surprised when he went on loan to non-league.superclive said:why have we not recalled our u21 left back Toby Bower and played him there.. absolutley bonkers. give him a go
Unfortunately not all u21s have first team potential, they need enough players to put out a team. Some of the u21 squad of the squad are therefore hard working, reliable players who can have good pro or semi pro careers, but lack in certain areas that are needed at first team level.
Bower might work his way up the leagues in time, but he’s unlikely to have the pace and physicality to make it in the Championship. He has a good left foot and is a steady player, but that’s not enough for our first team.
Enslin would be a better option, but I imagine the concern is him coping defensively and being too one footed.0 -

Meant to be 'Golfie'8 -
I keep seeing this about Zach as a defensive midfielder, can someone actually show any evidence of him playing there? I don't think he's ever played DM in a senior game, and whenever I've seen him play in unders he's played CB...0

Stroud is in Gloucestershire.🙄AberystwythAddick said:That Stroud sounds like an interesting prospect. It would be nice to start looking abroad5 -
I saw Vennings this season against Aldershot (local team) he didn't stand out at all in that game for what it's worth. I also Bower for Farnborough (even more local) at the start of the season, he played well, but as said not sure he's ready physically for the Camp. Boro fans really like him though.MarcusH26 said:

I found out this morning Elliot Stroud was named "Defender of the year" in Sweden 2025 so maybe he's more defensive than I gave him credit for.AberystwythAddick said:That Stroud sounds like an interesting prospect. It would be nice to start looking abroad
I wonder if the club jave ever heard of him

Hopefully no relation to Keith
, I do wonder how much scouting we have outside of the UK? 1 -
Luke Graham - left footed LCB wanted by Portsmouth, QPR and Sheffield United
Are we looking at him as well? Should we be?1 -

Would assume we'd know about him with Calvin Charlton being based up there scouting wise. Pompey have had a bid rejected already it seemsCallumcafc said:Luke Graham - left footed LCB wanted by Portsmouth, QPR and Sheffield United

All a bit quiet isn’t it, hoping that’s a good thing.1

Not a rumour but related to the LWB chat, I still can't believe that Ibby Fullah played well at Birmingham away and then hasn't got a minute on the pitch since.23

100% this.ElliotCAFC said:Not a rumour but related to the LWB chat, I still can't believe that Ibby Fullah played well at Birmingham away and then hasn't got a minute on the pitch since.
I have absolutely no idea why this extremely talented player is not getting more minutes. Scandalous from Jones, especially as we've had to suffer Hernandez playing there.
At last we have a star from the academy and we don't use him.10 -
If he is such a star, why isn’t he getting a game in his favoured position, because the 1st team players aren’t pulling up trees?, he has a good chance of becoming a star, but the constant need to chuck a youngster into the deep end is getting silly,IMO.bolloxbolder said:

Direct your question to Jones, not me. He's too young to be a regular starter but he should be getting far more minutes than currently getting. Alongside Campbell, probably the only other with that X factor. A real goal threat too.Sword65pf said:

I agree it isn’t an ideal solution but when played he hasn’t looked out of place and surely it’s better than trying to shoehorn players into positions that everyone knows they can’t play.bolloxbolder said:

I suspect Jones is maybe protecting the younger players rather than throwing them under the bus. You can try kids in League 1 because they are probably more skilful or quicker than their opponents however in the Championship they are bigger, stronger, faster and just better all round and it's potentially damaging for their development.
If and when we get to safety I expect some of the youngsters will get some minutes - but until we hit 46-50 points it is risky.
Fullah will have a good career, when the time is right22 -
We are not a good team at the moment and missing two integral players. I totally agree with Jones not playing Fuller. We need Championship experienced players at present not academy.Sword65pf said:

There is obviously a reason NJ hasn’t played him again, I’m guessing he knows more than us, I’m not saying Fullah isn’t an exciting talent. Playing devils advocate people are picking the Brum game as an example of him doing well, and I agree, but seem to have forgotten the Wrexham game where he was completely ineffective.Thats what you get from youngsters. Jones is probably protecting him a bit because of the problems rather than throwing him into the deep end and it going tits up.AndyG said:

He did well in that game but the Birmingham full back is really a central midfielder who would move central when they had the ball rather than someone who would be testing Fullah defensively in wide areas. The fact Fullah is actually a midfielder is probably why Jones picked him for that specific game, as he’s more comfortable in central areas than TC/Apter are.ElliotCAFC said:Not a rumour but related to the LWB chat, I still can't believe that Ibby Fullah played well at Birmingham away and then hasn't got a minute on the pitch since.
It was a completely different challenge to what most teams have at RB/RWB in this league. Fullah did well in that game against that type of player, but I think he’d have struggled against some of the players TC has been up against in our other games2 -
I agree, could you image the comments if he were to play and not cut it? By all means put him in when we are doing well, but not into a struggling team.Berkshire1970 said:

The player might have personal stuff going on, (we don’t need to know).
But I do like Ibby, he’s an exciting talent to watch, he makes stuff happen.

Thought someone said we’d be signing someone today? Is it time for a lynching?4

How long ago? All I've ever seen is references to him being a central defender, even going as far back as when he was 14 playing for England Under 15s...doronron said:

I think it's just people seeing he can pass the ball better than defenders we've had before (looking at you Pearce) and decided he'd be great as a number 6, but in reality it's a completely different role, it's like saying Roy Keane was a good tackler, let's play him centre back, or Lloyd Jones wins loads of headers, let's convert him into a striker.0 -
I get that, but he could have had more cameos off the bench. Same can probably be said for Apter too, and JRC earlier in the season.Swisdom said:I suspect Jones is maybe protecting the younger players rather than throwing them under the bus. Fullah will have a good career, when the time is rightIf Knibbs is out for a while that should result in Fullah getting more minutes off the bench - he offers something different to Berry, and Carey should be the regular starter of the three.5 -
No new LWB then.
We now enter game 3 where we could have had a proper LWB in situ. Yes we won 1 of those matches without one but that was because the oppo were down to 9 men.
And if we sign 1 later this week I doubt whether NJ will throw them in against Millwall at the Den.
So that will be 4 games gone.
Tick tock tick tock.

It’s a really tricky one because he probably does deserve some cameos, but I think our position in the league/ timing is against him at the moment. If we get close to securing safety that’s the time to throw him in. I just don’t think now is the time to learn the hard way for him.Scoham said:
