So 6 games in February and only 2 of them on a Saturday.
I know there was a good reason why 2 of the games were rearranged but even so it's annoying

The Pompey date potentially benefits us, as we have the previous Saturday free, whereas they are playing Sheffield United.

Nice thing about that Pompey date is it’s half term (well it is where I am anyway) so might get a larger crowd than usual for a midweek game

    Sink or swim month.
The positive is that four of these games are at home, hopefully that will be an advantage.

    Not sure about that

Line closure through Dartford over the February half-term 2026

We’re investing £10 million to upgrade the track through Dartford, which means the line will be closed on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 February then for nine days from Saturday 14 February to Sunday 22 February (inclusive). This essential work will help us to deliver better journeys by improving reliability and reducing delays.

Need to win 3 of them minimum to have a decent chance of surviving IMO, you'd probably look at Portsmouth Home and West Brom away as the biggest games, then we'd need to win at least 1 of the other 3 home games, and ideally go unbeaten at home throughout the month. 11 points from 6 games isn't a huge amount, but it should be more than a few of our rivals get in Feb

  • I'm already warming up for the mega loin girding required for next month !  B)

  • If Bell is back, I'd be optimistic for that set of fixtures. We are a completely different proposition with him in the team.

11 points from 6 games is play off standard. Id take 8 or 9 at this point (as long as 6 of those are Pompey and West Brom)

3 games that i think will make or break our season.
  • Bit annoying that the fixture list is a bit cluttered there, but that could never be helped. At least we'll have the Saturday off between the QPR and Portsmouth games which'll make a big difference.
At least my original fear hasn't happened, where we'd have had one home game in five matches with these cancellations.

I'd swap Stoke with West Brom. If they're still on a death spiral and we can win at the Hawthorns then that'll be better for us than beating Stoke, although both would be nice.

West Brom is still away though... Bit like Blackburn, its an ideal, just dont lose it

Could make or break our season. Need at least 3 wins out of those games plus a draw or two. And one of those wins must be against Pompey. Lose to them & come out of Feb with just 3 or 4 points & we are screwed big time.

Ideally beat Pompey & wins against QPR & Wrexham. Draw against Stoke....and maybe one other. But that would mean just 1 loss in 6 games which would he going some given our current form.

More likely to be 2 wins & 2 draws.

Pompey at home the day before I turn 40. Will really dictate how my birthday goes. Last year I spent my birthday in Urgent Care because I couldn't stop throwing up. So this year I'm just hoping for a draw and it'll be a step up.
