Agree, this is all conjecture and so patheticForeverAddickted said:
So how do you know that Apter has every right to be pissed off, if you dont know what conversations have taken place?Major said:
You have no idea what conversations took place. Either to persuade him to sign, or since. All I know is, he is a young talent being ignored. I get why he would want a word with the Manager. If he did that, I wonder if said Manager was grown up about it.Redrobo said:

Apter signed on to play football. Being happy to sit around doing bugger all, while less talented players get in the team is what you'd call grown up?Sword65pf said:
Maybe they both need to be grownups and get on with it.cafcfan said:I'll repeat what I said earlier, Apter has had a bust up with Jones and won't play for Charlton again. (Unless Jones goes first presumably.)
I think Apter has every right to be pissed off and to let Jones know it.
What the grown up thing to do is to knock on the managers door and find out what the manager wants from you and then work hard to deliver that improvement.
The suggestion that players have some sort of right to decide that they are more talented and can then throw their toys out of the pram if they are not picked is quite frankly ridiculous.1 -

I can answer that FA, no he has no idea, he's actually pissed off about the clubs form and has managed to convince himself that if Apter was playing, everything would be sweetness and light. He has also convinced himself that a verbal confrontation has happened between the manager and Rob Apter, because if Apter is not selected then it naturally follows that Apter will give the Manager hell. As I stated 'what a load of bollocks that was'.ForeverAddickted said:

70s Partick Thistle I think.wolfgang said:
He must have been very young then. Still looks older and tougher than Luke Chambers, though.CaptainRobbo said:I've always liked Field.
I do not recognise which club shirt though. Non-league or Scottish, perhaps?0 -

Harry Amass has joined Norwich on loan, thats a confirmed transfer now1

Anyone would have thought there were dedicated player threads!fenaddick said:This thread desperately needs a rumour0 -

What I do know is that Nathan has been a successful youth team coach and is now a respected manager.
He is very good at developing players and you only have to look at the players that are happy to move clubs to work with him again to know that his man management skills must be very good.
I think you may have more problems with Jones than Apter.2 -
We desperately need a LCB and a midfielder at the very least11
-
Has there even been rumours of us going in for a midfielder?
I can't believe we're content with the current crop of midfielders.11 -

Needs to be millions spent to sort this out. Quality CMs need proper investment in not a PL Loan and go and find a top notch LCB.5
-
Serious investment needed or we will get relegated.2

I think the deals we’ve done this window have been ok. Clarke has some fight, Dykes seems to get some kind of chance most games and although not directly down to him it’s no surprise we fell apart when Chambers came off. 2/3 more signings of that quality or better is what we need5
-
Oh I definitely like what I've seen of Clarke and Chambers , Dykes I'd rather be using off the bench but he's definitely horrible to play against and knows this league.fenaddick said:I think the deals we’ve done this window have been ok. Need someone that can control a game at this level and pick a forward pass. It's all way too workmanlike for me in midfield.3 -
The head of our recruitment team was Director of Football at a team who managed to get relegated to L1 on Premier League Parachute Payments.Laddick01 said:
We’ve needed that since July. I have no faith in our recruitment team to do their job. They’ve failed horrendously so far.fenaddick said:We desperately need a LCB and a midfielder at the very least2 -
And yet some of us said the likes of those two and Gillesphey weren’t going to be good enough back in the summer. It was obvious even if not everyone could see it.DDOUBLEE said:

Yeah. Apparently are close to getting loan in from Spurs. Hot Prospect. 19 years old and just coming off a 10 month lay off after a ruptured AchillesSELR_addicks said:Has there even been rumours of us going in for a midfielder?

We’ve signed a player that can give us 45mins, what the hell is going on? When we know we need 90 if we’ve only signed one. We are waiting for the last day dregs again aren’t we.4

Bowyer said something interesting on The Manager's podcast; when we were last in the Championship, he, like Jones was on one of the smaller budgets in the league. It was either sign decent players with an injury history or sign unproven players. It seems to be the same plan now.12

Any other game I think he plays 60 mins today but that first half was very dynamic, he probably covered more ground than anyone was expecting. That's my hope anywaySword65pf said:We’ve signed a player that can give us 45mins, what the hell is going on? When we know we need 90 if we’ve only signed one. He covered too much ground at times. Some nonsense runs where he was a hair's breadth from Campbell while he was on the ball which wasn't helpful. Hopefully with a bit more time on the training pitch he can cut that out and conserve some more energyfenaddick said:

But we have all been saying we need someone ready to go, and so it proved today. How long do we wait to get up to speed?fenaddick said:

I’m also hoping he’s a better defender than he looked today and just needs to get up to speed. They got crosses in far too easily.fenaddick said:

Curbs and Powell always did, often more than once. Of course NJ has seen his ex Luton mates but I’m less sure re the rest and maybe that is coming home to roost?1 -

Yeah some of his support runs were mental, staying within 3 yards of Campbell and making the same run, almost like he was trying to defend against him and shepherd him out of playGarrymanilow said:

This really needs to be a very active thread this coming week. We need two in at least possibly eleven after today’s shit show. Whoever does come in needs to be of good quality Championship standard, fit and ready to play at Leicester4

I wouldn’t trust Jones with this window given the previous results5
