Agree. TC being our best player shows the fuckkng gulf we have against this league.

I’m starting to think we’ll have a real squad churn in the week and a bit. Think we could see 3/4 in and a similar number out. Let’s hope they’re of the quality we need🙏

Is Field actually being linked anywhere? - I only ask as seeing his name cropping up a few times now

“It’s a big week coming up”

“We know we probably need a defender”

“We know we need a midfielder that can control a game, dominate a game”

“If you look at today, we need tempo and that’s not the case”
Yeh, because that’s how HE sets the team up.

Exactly, it's like when people are saying that NJ is "raging on the touchlines"...They are following HIS instructions FFS

Are they following his instructions though if he's having to rage on the touchline?
I mean I suspected he wanted Anderson to be aggressive in the tackle and when pressing today
But Karoy should know that doesnt involve geting sent off, so Jones has to go ape on the touchline telling him to calm down
When does that sort of example fall on the individual player to have the self awareness

So maybe a 2 in 2 out week? I'd love it to be more like 3/4 in but I feel like that's perhaps stretching it wanting 2 CMs an LWB and an LCB in.

Tanto out on loan and possibly AMB???

He isn’t playing FIFA… he can tell the players what he wants but if they can’t execute it…

Around these comments he also says Coventry was playing through injury which does explain some of his omissions

I think Doc, Tanto, AMB and maybe one like Anderson/Apter will depart. I also think Rousillion and Hernandez will leave.

I think we’ll bring in Bree, a LCB and a couple of midfielders (one attacking and one defensive)

Massive window for the club as I feel relegation could see us drifting away like the last time we dropped from the Champ.

That would be amazing, but I doubt we will be able to do that much between now and the window ending

I think we will sign one or two more defenders and then a midfielder

I'd not really considered counting the 2 OOCs in outs but I fully expect both to go. I'd be really happy with your ins!!
  • We need a starting LCB to replace Gillesphey

    Lwb to challenge Chambers

    Rwb to challenge Clarke

x2 Midfielders - One more attacking to link play and get goals and assists
one more defensive to Challenge Coventry

i make that 5 players in a week of real proven quality

its make or break for the owners and club

I genuinely believe we’ll get close to that numbers wise but it’s the proven quality part that I’m far more uncertain of.

At least it sounds like Bell is back soon enough 🤞🤞

I don’t actually think he’s saying anything wrong here though. If this was anyone else you would have ignored it
He takes shots at TC any chance he gets and he’s nowhere near the problem with this team. Only player who looked at or near the level today. Only player to pull something out of nothing and bring us back in the game in midweek.

But yeah let’s read post number 1000 about how he’s the problem, not the others around him.
A Millwall fan’s opinion - echoes a lot of other opposition fans across the entire season

The frustrating thing with TC is he’s nearly a good player at this level - he has the pace, fitness, work rate and dribbling ability, but the passing, crossing and shooting is rarely good enough.

So opposition fans see him look threatening in most games, but we see him regularly go through games without it leading to goals and assists.

He’s still young enough to improve his end product, but not all wingers do.

If we go down I think some would be surprised that there will be Championship interest in him. Managers will believe they can get that end product out of him. Being in a team that has more of the ball and playing purely as a winger might be seen as something that could help him too.

Will turn out to be a solid lower half championship player when played as an out and out winger. Think that will be his level.

Was an eye opener watching Azeez today though. Time and again putting amazing crosses in, Millwall would be top 2 if they had better strikers.

We’re genuinely messing TC’s development with our continued need to deploy him at LWB. He looks thoroughly miserable at the moment and I’ve got a good bit of sympathy for him.

I think regardless of what league we're in next season there's going to be a lot of interest in TC. Someone that plays natural wingers will look at his potential and back themselves to fix his end product. Maybe not a Prem side but maybe someone that falls short in the playoffs?

I know he's incredibly frustrating to us but he comes up most weeks with opposing fans as someone that caused them problems

  • About a week ago we needed 5 defenders (NJ).  Now we have a half fit, juvenile from Liverpool and we "probably need one more".

The same thing is said by opposition fans most weeks. Unfortunately some fans made their minds up a long time ago.

Not sure how many times it needs to be said. There aren’t many wingers that are able to beat people as easily as as he is that work as hard as he does. Yes his end product could be better - if it was he probably wouldn’t be playing for us - but give him more freedom on the pitch, let his confidence build up and it may come.

There are no perfect players, especially at this level. We know our own players well, but I guarantee most fans think the same of their winger(s), it has to be the most common criticism of players in that position.

Some of our fans spend a lot of time focussing on what he can’t do and forget all of the things he is good at (not you in this case, thankfully!). I think it’s only fair he is given time in his actual position and not asked to play as a wing back before we cast him away. Most top teams set up giving those players minimal responsibility defensively so they conserve energy to attack. We do the opposite.

I'm not a huge fan of TC but let him attack but asking him to defend is just shit from a pony manager who once done ok at Luton fucking Town, then left them to ruin his career!!

I wasnt his biggest fan last season but he's proven me wrong. If he's deployed as a winger every game his end product will improve over time.

Sign two 45 minute players and they can job share, simples.

Or one 45 minute player and 50 Jerome Roussillon's and you may be able to complete a full 90

Wonder if with Knibbs out for the rest of the season and not wanting to rely too much on Fullah if another attacking midfielder might be on the cards along with more of an "8" type.

I know NJ loves Berry but he's at the stage where it's 15-20 mins off the bench.
It's surely more likely to be in the engine room.

In his interview with Carley/Mendez, NJ didn't think any of his central midfielders were playing well at the moment, and demanding to be picked.
Doesn't help if one of them (JRC) sat on the bench for 4 months then came into the side & played well. Then after a couple of matches he was dropped to the bench again. Same with Berry......didnt play for months & then was a starter for a few matches. Now we see it with Anderson.

NJ doesn't know his best 11. Jeez.....he doesn't even know his best 18.
