Newcastle are definitely building, which normally means we're about to score

Clinton Lancaster has announced on LinkedIn that he is now the Assitant Coach for the team.

Lots of experience and well qualified.
Just to say on this he was a coach at Aldershot Town where he coached my son in the U16's. Really good on the grass,,good sessions, good communicator but not sure he was particularly committed the ATFC, so it wasn't a surprise when he moved on. Nice chap as well when I spoke to him.

Doing exceptionally well considering they played Millwall yesterday.

This lot would never have lost 4-0

Ipswich are currently beating Bristol City somehow so as it stands we're 8 points clear of 3rd and a game in hand. I wouldn't anticipate Ipswich holding out and we still have to finish the job here but it's a nice spot to be in right now

    Loving today's programme cover.

  • Now seen a team this wkend in red, playing either  togetherness, spirit, not bottling tackles, can put more than 2/3 passes together, corners that clear 1st man(woman) ,shots on target, winning & trying to win 2nd ball, slide ball forward defence splitting passes none of this hoofball,we all been subjected too & playing with freedom…all the things NJ & the 1st team can’t get going…Karen Hills for men’s 1st team manager anyone…😜

I don't know if anyone just saw YouTube's attempt at a lineup for us but I think it had us in a 442 with Lobato at right midfield and Hutton up front. One of the worst I've ever seen

I feel like Whitehouse could have done better there, seemed to scrambling a bit
  • Decent finish I thought. Picked it well.
  • Got lucky there...

Expect that’s exactly why Whitehouse has gone down

Once again, a commentator who appears to have not seen any football for the last year or two. Utterly oblivious to the idea that teams use “injury to goalkeeper” as a way to regroup and strategise.

My favourite bit was when he was talking about the change in kick off laws from a few years ago causing confusion, pure fabrication

At the end of the first half, I was thinking this is the best I have seen us play all season.

We have been abysmal in the second half so far. Hopefully the subs we have just made will change things.

Newcastle could have equalised earlier, but they all pretty much stopped play to appeal for a penalty instead of playing on regardless.

The referee also seems reluctant to give out any bookings. One of their strikers, Murphy, has done nothing but complain about every decision the referee makes in our favour. There's been enough that most referees would have given out two yellows, but she hasn't even had one.

Attendance is very impressive today. Newcastle fans are spread out throughout the ground and I don't know how much of it is down to them.

I do wonder if commentators are told not to draw attention to it. It's such a regular occurrence and they never bring up the possibility it's tactical, possibly because they could get some grief back if it turns out the keeper is actually injured and they've been laughing about them crying wolf

    2-1 win.
Good first half, poor second. Held on though, so that’s the main thing. 👍🏼
