  • We have agreed a deal to take Conor Coady on loan according to Peter O’Rourke

Lots of experience but just sounds like an older, slightly better version of gillesphey (ie. Very slow).

Not sure what he’s like now but he was decent in the past.
Old head with tons of experience, good communicatior, I’d be more than happy with him next to me in the trenches. What’s his injury record like and can he hit the ground running?

Coady is right footed but I think he's quite comfortable in the middle of a back 3 as well as the right side
  • Wonder if he’s going to cover Lloyd, who really shouldn’t be playing

Really hope we don't loan our Apter, and if we don't, really want to see him play. But then suppose if NJ aint going to play him at all then whats the point in keeping him.

Coady suggests to me that Lloyd’s ankle isn’t great

  • He has no league minutes since September, are we opening up a retirement home here?

The one real positive is that he’s a proper leader

Alternative to Lloyd Jones, or to play with him in a back four?

Probably find out Burke is injured again.

Coady runs in waist-high treacle. He makes Gillesphey look like Usain Bolt.
    Should suit us perfectly

  • Cart horse doesn’t do him justice. He’s been atrocious when I’ve seen him play this season

Bloke has no pace at all, will only work in the centre of a 3 for me

More likely Jones is out and Coady is in to replace him

Unless he's also in to cover Cov at CDM too?

Coady feels a bit meh. Experienced but would be concerned about a lack of pace

Can he be slower than Gillesphey or Burke?
    OR
Can he be a modern day Jorge Costa

Doesn't have pace but we badly need  a leader and some more experience and he has tons of that.

On paper I'd say that's pretty decent

Sounds very much like the kind of signing you make when it's the last week of the window and the alternative is not signing anyone at all. Reeks a bit of a Gunther type, ambling around without much in the way of motivation.

Doubt it I’d be surprised if he’s ever played in midfield 🤔.

Edit, apparently he has but not in more recent times.

Good player but another who hasn’t played many minutes this season. Big wages so wonder what % we will be paying

Wouldn’t be shocked if we were selling LJ tbh.

Oh dear. Conor Coady feels like a desperate move.
And perhaps suggests Lloyd is injured.

It also does nothing to address the yawning chasm of quality in the squad.

Coady was embarrassingly bad for Wrexham earlier this season. I’m more positive than most on here but that’s not a good signing at all

Coady will be delighted though, nice and close to the BBC for all his 5 Live appearances

Not sure on this one, yes he brings great experience and leadership and I like him but looked past it early in the season for Wrexham. I guess we’re in the boat of having to try something.

He started out as a midfielder then was converted to CB by wolves
