Unless you’ve only been a fan for about 2 years this is an absolutely mental thing to say. The club is in the best place it’s been in for probably more than a decadeAndyG said:I honestly don’t think I have ever felt this pissed off in all my years of supporting us. I really feel like I’m being taken for a mug when NJ spouts off in his presser about the virtue of this weeks signings ! Ffs we have signed 2 players that can’t get into their own team’s lineup 1 of which is from the division below ! You can’t put a positive spin on that you muppet.46 -

You’ve got to be on a wind up? Either that or you’ve only supported Charlton for 2-3 years?AndyG said:I honestly don’t think I have ever felt this pissed off in all my years of supporting us. Agreed blimey good job these people were not around in the really dark days in the 70”s onwards .. fans having to help buy a player , player getting kicked out of hotel cause we could not afford the bill , African gun runners on the board .. I went 2 and half years of following Charlton away not seeing one win saw 7 and a couple of 6”s go past us but no wins .. being 15 mins from having no club at all and losing the valley, spending wet Sunday clearing the pitch and beating the council in the local election .. …where we are now is years ahead and the club is finally in good hands and getting back on stable footing to enable us move forward but we are quite there yet .. but the future looks goodNabySarr said:

I know we have had shit times loads before but this times it feels different, probably because I actually felt this time we would see a different outcome. With the Belgium twat and all the other crooks over the years we knew what was going on and didn’t have much expectation but this time I bought into all the spin and had high hopes which is why I feel like we are being mugged off. How the club can even try to put a positive spin on this window is a joke unless they really pull something out of the hat not many people can in all seriousness claim we have finished this window stronger than we started it8 -

Whether he's good or not, he doesn't seem a signing we need, when i look at the weaknesses in midfield and still on the left of defence.Swisdom said:I'd need to see more of Sichenje. What limited footage I have seen of him shows him to be tall, fast and as strong as an ox. A little hasty into a challenge (he will pick up many cards) and probably not a particularly technical player - more of a blunt instrument. A very typically African centre back with excellent physical attributes but might need someone to organise the defence around him (ok with Lloydy back there)
Perfectly suited to our current style. Looks the sort that will run through a wall if told - and that wall will be absolutely decimated.
Right footed. Speaks english
Ramsay might be struggling at the moment, but he's still a good player ( at our level of budget), ditto Burke. And we have Gough and Mitchell who can cover right centre back. Or Clarke if we play Fevrier at right wingback6 -

Try looking at it in a different way.
We have lent out players who were never going to play because their skill set didn’t fit. Apter was the most clueless defender I have seen for yonks. Replacing him with a player who may not be of greater value, but has the skill set that does fit will improve the team overall.
We all knew that getting promoted late we were always playing catch up, and with so few oven ready Championship players the budget was always going to be spread thin.
Keep the faith.
In Jones we trust.10 -
But don't we only have chambers to play there?Callumcafc said:Terry asked NJ specifically about the left side of the defence and the first words out of NJ’s mouth were “we have good strength there now” but “never say never because there’s a few days left and if opportunities come” to improve the team they would explore it.
Doesn’t appear to me like they are actively seeking another left sided defender.1 -
I think it might be a good idea to at least let the new players play even a minute of football first. We've got two new signings in for the first team and a player who has had 45 minutes. We've loaned out 2 goals and 2 assists worth of players - Dykes already has as many assists as Tanto - and we'll have to see with the new signings. Feeling 'mugged off' before they've played is bizarre though, especially considering the window hasn't even closed yet. Never been this pissed off? You only have to go back 3 years to our January transfer business being Michael Hector, Macauley Bonne, Todd Kane, Gavin Kilkenny and Matt Penney.AndyG said:

Yeah i agree , I don't really see the fit and if we've got that kind of budget to play with I'd rather go for a CM for that kind of figure.killerandflash said:

lol I think that’s what is surprising me most mate look back at my previous posts I’m always positive and have been supportive of NJ but something this week seems off I personally think he is losing the plot a bit and for the first time I think we are in trouble as I’m pretty sure Oxford and Portsmouth will pick up resultsRedrobo said:
