Oh S**T!!0

HH has a column in the local rag here, "The Wharf", and says that he's hopeful of being available this weekend.... the weekly paper but published today but I'd guess printed a couple of days ago....0
-
never thought i'd be saying this again but i hope HH makes it, couldn't deal with 2 nightmares in the back 4
i'd rather faye slots in than survive fortune to be fair, sankofa will just have to cope at RB0 -
How reliable is the Thatcher story? There's been no official comment as far as I can see and the only paper carrying it is the Kent Messenger.0
-
Why no Thatcher?0
-
in the bulletin, quote from pardew saying we picked up a couple of knocks saturday that don't look good and that it will be a changed side - one obviously marcus, so there's room for the thatcher story unless it's another player that played saturday that's struggling badly0
-
According to the Messenger Thatchers got an ankle injury0
-
If HH is fit, do you think Pards will play him in the centre or at left back?0
-
i'm not too bothered, i'd just rather see any eventuality that fortune or sankofa don't get a look in... if HH is fit and thatcher isn't i'd go:
Young - Faye - Elk - HH0 -
I don't think Fortune would be too exposed against Watford myself.
In fact I am more comfortable with the idea of Fortune at centre back than I am Hermann at left back in all honesty.0 -

Assuming that HH is too slow to be a left back, then Thatcher is our only left back in the squad. Presumably the plan has always been to play Luke if Thatcher gets injured, and bring in Sankofa? I can't see too many options otherwise.0
-
I just want to know for sure that baby Bent is going to be fit - that's worrying me more than the defence.0
-
ZZ can play indefence too so could fill a position at right back allowing LY to drop to LB. Thatcher's knock is reported by Pardew on the club website preview, hopefully a bit of mind games and he will be fit0
-
What about playing Chrissy Powell - I think he should be close at hand.0

thats what i would do too dood good.0 -
On the BBC website it says Thatcher is out and isn't listed in the squad. Ashton is though.0
-
Is ZZ left or right or both? might be an idea though.0
-
Wouldn't risk it, especially the way Watford just hit it into the corners for someone to attack0

BBC site shows the squad as
Charlton (from): Carson, Young, El Karkouri, Fortune, Sankofa, Ambrose, Holland, Song, Thomas, Hasselbaink, D Bent, Randolph, Zheng, Rommedahl, Faye, M Bent, Kishishev, Ashton.
Note the inclusion of Kish!!!0 -
Shall I sing a Song for you? :(0

Can Song play CB?0
-
Possibly but we need him to create in midfield- mind you, the Vicarage rd pitch might get in the way of that?
Carm on you Reds!0 -
