CAREY:6 - Yes he scored but other than that I don't remember seeing him on the ball. should have thrived in the gaps but opted to have a little sleep instead
COADY: 7 - Really good in that deep role. I don't know that it's an every game thing but we were set up to skip the midfield and make sure we weren't killed in the half space and he did that while also getting on the ball far more than expected
BELL: 7 - Loses a bit for the daft pen but is the most important player in our squad. When he plays we look like a team that deserves to be in the Championship
CHAMBERS: 7 - Superb cross for the goal and looked excellent defensively. Always wants to look forward as well
CLARKE: 8 POTM - Defensively excellent but is the player who spotted the space their press was leaving and chose all the right moments to go forward. Scored a goal that was unbelievably disallowed, assisted the first and created a lot down our right. Very clever player.
DYKES: 7.5 - Took an absolute battering for the team and got his goal. Not the tallest but defenders clearly hate playing against him and he fits us like a glove
Referee:4 - Spot on for the red and then proceeded to go full Christmas Carol trying to undo all his wrongs against Leicester. Disallowed a goal for nothing, gave yellows out to our players every chance he could and couldn't wait to give the pen. Silly of Bell to let it happen but it was soft as anything and the relief radiating off the ref when he could give it was clear
Subs: GODDEN: 6.5 - Creating his own chances out of nothing again. Stopped Leicester being able to switch off at the back
FEVRIER: 6.5 - I like him. Not as rapid as I'd maybe hoped but has the right idea and teams won't like him coming on against them. Offers us an alternative to Chambers which at this point just feels greedy
COVENTRY: 7 - Perfect when he came on, recognised that we just needed to slow things down and keep passing it between the midfield and the defenders and helped kill the crowd
T.C.: 6.5 - It was there for him to cause some chaos but he didn't quite have the stomach for it. Did ok
