The midfield 3 were dead on their feet from 75 minutes. Inexcusable to leave them all out there for so long when you look at who was on the bench. Berry for Doherty WTAF???? Is Coventry now the whipping boy who is going to get the Apter treatment?
I believe Nathan said he was nursing an injury a few weeks ago so would imagine that has some part to play

Decent overall but the subs all looked miles off it, don't really see who else Nathan could have bought on in fairness
    JRC?? Coventry?!

JRC was such an obvious sub to make

Berry was the only sub remaining, other than Fevrier for Clarke that he could really make that would see us "go for" the win

What the hell was that Berry midfield, nearly lost us the game, berry and coady must be the most slowest midfield in history
The idea was that Berry has a weird quality of popping up with late goals. There’s a reason he’s only being trusted for cameos 88 minutes onwards.

If we’d got a late free kick and the ball fell to him in the box it’d be called a brilliant sub.
  • Chambers looks knackered, lets get TC on ffs.

I take that back.  He was well off it today.
  • Looked like a mid table championship game, which bodes well for the rest of the season.

That falls down when you have to drop a shattered Carey back to the 8 and Coady is running through quicksand. We lost the midfield so had no chance to win that late free kick

Berry can't be on the pitch at the same time as Coady if he's playing in midfield. Absolutely no pace

NJ has inadvertently saved Starmers arse, as all attention will move away from Mandelson towards repairing relations with the Kenyan government

That's no good when you are under the cosh. Berry coming on but 5 years younger..he can carry the ball up the pitch. When he comes on now, hes just a shape...camt contribute at all.

First game I’ve ever been frustrated with Sonny Carey
Clark was in on goal wide open when Carey tried that 40 yard shot towards end of game….also got caught on the ball and almost gave them a chance…holds on to the ball too much at times

Can't stand Richard Kone and wouldn't have him over Leaburn. Ratty nasty little player that got pocketed as usual by Lloydy.

Weird obsession with the last few minutes of the game that I’m noticing. We know what Jones was trying to do, agree or disagree with the reasoning behind it.

In the end it didn’t cost us so expect to see that sub again next time it’s tight late.

Feels like this season will turn into that first season when Jones took over in the February, rough start, and then we turned in a really tough team to beat and ground out enough performances to get the points that we needed - Once we see Clarke / Chambers getting fitter and more minutes, we'll probably see a bit more progression
But about a month ago, we'd have lost that tonight!!
This spot on! it has all the hallmarks of how we set up then.

That was when Jones was desperate to try anything to fix the issues. I will have Luke Berry’s name tattooed on my bum if it happens again.

Why are we not allowed to criticise a poor substitution?

More than matched them, decent solid performance. Think Bell stood out again and Dykes has got a bit about him. I think having two proper wingbacks has turned us into a half decent side again.

What does that have to do with anything?

Knibbs isn’t currently available so not sure why it’s relevant to tonight’s substitution.
