  • He's clearly a really decent human being and brave, energetic, strong and never hides.  The sort of player you want the best for.  Can he learn how to retain the ball better and be more positionally savvy to really push on. Who knows.  Good luck Karoy.

Jeez we could do with a player like that...
Maybe we could secure him for next season.

He looks good at that level, as I'm sure a lot of our squad this season would.

We've basically built an all Star cast of League 1 but got promoted a season too early, and players like Anderson, Campbell and Asiimwe would have another full year to develop

Looked to me like he lost his man for Huddersfield's first goal, but took his own well

I did not think he  could hit a barn door.

We don't have a single midfield player with a record of positive passes forward. Could that be due to us playing 3-5-2 with no wingbacks, or outlets for passes?

Karoy has pace and physicality. We need more of that.

He wasn't bad for us this season imo

Blackpool play exactly the same system

I think Charlton and Jones know the player Anderson can be and he wasn't progressing so whilst they probably would have preferred to keep him as cover, he really needed a loan and it looks like he has gone to the right place. He is a young player and a few are a bit quick to write him off. I certainly don't and I think he has the right attributes.

Which is no coincidence at all and one of the main reasons a loan there works. Not sensible to send players off on loan to learn to play a role we have no use for.

He played poorly against Millwall but he never will be a holding player .  I’d still have him over Docherty , but I agree with other that a loan at this stage is a smart move

League one is Anderson level … like league two is Kanu and Mbick level … but the championship a far different standard now

Another season where has only featured in a handful of games for us, is no good to him whatsoever. Blackpool is a great move, far from what he is used to, and it will help develop his character and his talent, he keeps producing at the same high-level and he comes back to us as a better player, better able to handle this division.

No doubting that Karoy has what it takes to be a very good box to box midfielder in league one. He’s still learning and this loan will do him a lot of good. The unknown is whether he can go on to be a very good box to box midfielder in The Championship. At this point I’d say he isn’t there yet. Gives the ball away too cheaply and his passing has been hit and miss. That’s why he’s out on loan to hone those skills with game time. He’ll return and be better for pre season. A lot might depend on what division we find ourselves next season because that’s an area that is absolutely crying out for upgrades if we’re still in The Championship.

Looks like he had one of his good passing games yesterday. 21/23 (91%) completed, 8/10 in the opposition half, 13/13 in his own half. A lot of them were backwards but those are the ones he often messes up and there are a couple of decent looking progressive ones in there.

Perfect player for L1 when the game is focused on the physical side of the game but doesn’t have the technical ability for the championship. Doubt he breaks into our team but has a very bright future regardless

“ Karoy Anderson has the legs we've not had, managing to make running around the middle of the pitch doing things footballers do (like tackles and passes) in a competent manner seem like something he's trained all week for and is readily able to do - again, a step up.”

“ The new lads improved us massively. Clarkson looked exactly as you'd want, silky, good feet and vision. Anderson was a lovely foil to that, an athlete in midfield who showed desire - my favourite moment aside from the goals was probably the snarling tackle in the box he made to deny a Town chance after he'd given the ball away in midfield - no standing
with his hands on his hips and watching play get away from him - he was absolutely determined to get back in and atone for the error.”
