Have TC, Leaburn Dykes Kelman and Godden we don’t need Antonio. Just be a complete waste of wages
Is this money his wages are being paid out of coming out your pocket mate?
Nah but If it means we save more money now we can then spend down later down the line much rather do that. 3rd lowest wage budget rather thinking about upping the wages and giving deals to your Ramsay’s and Edwards opposed to a 6th choice striker

About 8 goals between the lot of them. Hardly prolific. If he adds goals that keep us up it’s not a waste of money

7 points clear with a game in hand on good form we should easily stay up from here. We need 3 wins in 15 and have Oxford and Wednesday should be comfortable

Even if he scores 1 goal and keeps us in the league its worth every penny

    *should be*
  • We have named 24 players when we are allowed a squad of 25 so there is a vacancy.

    WIOTOS
Is that 25 players got an age limit?
    I believe so.

Not seen the list but IIRC U21s don't count towards the limit
I think it is u21 on the 1st Jan.
So Z. Mitchell, Fullah and all the u21s don’t use slots.
Even so, I think we’re at 25 now, unless someone has a long term injury and has been removed.

    Edwards not registered

  • It’s an interesting one. I knocked Coady but he’s proved that experience is invaluable. Prem experience is a big plus

I’m genuinely serious, as I’ve been in some serious car / van accidents down the years, why people are trying to get a rise out of him for his car crashes, it’s really not funny, until you’ve been there trust me.
Likely he's an idiot who can't handle a high performance car and drives too fast.
I grew up driving rear-wheel drive cars but these days many people are not used to them especially something like a Ferrari with huge torque.  They are so easy to lose especially if you don't understand the dynamics. I wouldn't blame him too much.  I don't suppose he'd ever heard of SIFO - slow in, fast out.
  • Seems like a waste of time to me. By the time he gets fit (if ever) it will be the end of the season

Rumours on other site Michail Antonio been seen at Sparrows Lane and could be announced on Friday should he pass a medical.

Thats why you should read charlton life instead, theres the added bonus of fish puns popping up on every thread!

If we sign him, I will get a full size tattoo of him on my back.

I can see there being reciprocal benefits - in theory at least. If he's interested in getting into the Jamaica squad, then he could do a lot worse than play for a team with three other players likely to be picked. Any scouts, coaches or officials that come to see or meet with them will also have easy access to him. If he was then to make that squad whilst our man, it raises our profile when trying to recruit new players in the summer. Of course, all this is predicated on him being fit enough to play for us and them. Whether he is, or not, is anyone's guess. I don't suppose for a moment anyone here will really have a clue.

Miles has a dreadful injury record so only having Dykes, Godden and Kelman is a risk not worth taking in our situation where goals are not easily come by. Staying up is everything so for me if he’s going to contribute to the run in then I’m all for it. Especially as he’d be playing for a contract.
TC is our second highest goal scorer this season not the three you mentioned. He can be included as a striker

If Jones thinks he's more Dykes than Ahadme get him in.
Have you looked at Antonio's record. Comparing him on here with Oloafe and Ahadme is a joke.
However if his legs are gone, probably yes.

Because our players never get injured
  • This rumour appears to be gathering some momentum.

Seems a strange one if true.  By the time he's match fit the season will be over

Do you not recall Danny Hylton? Jones LOVES a grizzled veteran about the place, they can add a lot

In my early twenties I had a MK2  Transit with 65bhp.
Was so easy to swing the back out going round a corner.
Slow in, slow out but loved it.

Could be a prove yourself deal and sign him in the summer for a year, especially if Dykes is off or we decide against Godden

I’m not sure he’s got loads of offers. An appearance weighted (heavily) wage is probably being put on the table.

I believe it is further along than the BBC suggests.
