    Always liked him. The accident must have taken its toll but if NJ thinks he’s ready to go then that’s good enough for me.
    BTW the car crash jokes seem a bit grim but maybe that just me. The bloke nearly died.

    If he’s kept himself fit, the experience he brings is invaluable, people like Leaburn and Campbell will learn a lot from him. 

    If the finances work then sure.

    I agree with RayTreacy in that talks are apparently further advanced than the BBC article suggests.

    Anthonio is an extremely naturally fit man. Don’t be surprised to see him feature earlier than expected if he did sign! I would welcome this signing for his experience alone!

    I think even a half fit Antonio alongside Dykes or Miles would scare the bejesus out of most Championship defences.

    Antonio was so rapid that even if he’s lost a yard he should be plenty quick enough

    Pace is definitely something we are short of other than TC, its a bit of a no brainer really if we get him on a pay as you play kinda deal.

    People have been calling for these for about 10 years because of various crocked players we’ve had!

    I have to admit at being not bothered by a few players taking up wages if they are bringing some experience and know how to the squad. Leaburn, Kelman and Campbell could learn and improve a lot off Dykes, Hylton and Antonio.

    And in my eyes, if Jones wants him, Jones should get him.

    Seems a bit left field, given our general budget prudence. 36 in a few weeks and not really played for 14 months now. 

    Fair play to him for still wanting to play and battle back to fitness, suspect most would have just called it a day and moved on to media

    I think that there was a lot of criticism of Coady and Dykes arriving but their experience has driven the recent good run and both have, arguably, been our best players in that run. I wasn't sure they were what we needed but their experience and, crucially, their physicality, has given us a more solid look. I would be interested to know how long we have had him with us at the training ground and if RayTreacy is right about the signing being close, then I assume it's a goer. He could be fit and he could make the difference, worth a deal till the end of season, if that's the case.

    Perhaps he's been with us a while and the offer now is based on him fit and being ready to go

    I want to know if Collins has given him a black eye yet.

    Found our he has only been training with us for 2 days, not sure how close or away he is to match fitness

    Antonio recently spent a month at Leicester training  with a view to signing for them, but picked up a minor muscle injury (as players typically do after a long spell out). 
     
    "He has looked good and has been a good lad to have around as well," Cifuentes told BBC East Midlands Today. 
      
     
    Then In January Cifuentes said, "Michail got a setback in training. It's a small injury. It's a pity. That probably means that we will not be able to continue the process we started," Cifuentes told BBC Radio Leicester.

    "The window is open. We're going to try to see what other options are available."

    If he’s not completely destroyed by the injuries he sustained in the car crash, I don’t see any issues with it.  Played at a higher level than Hernandez and was always a decent player

    The thing is, I have no idea how injured Leaburn is, he wasn’t even on the bench in the last match, if he’s going be out for a couple of months, then it’s a no brainer?

    A note of caution. I used to be ambidexterous until I broke my arm. After that, I'd lost too much mobility to ever be the same. Yes, it was a bad break, requiring surgery, but it doesn't sound as bad as his leg. He may never be anywhere near the same player as he was. He may never be able to pass a medical ever again...

    Dykes is 30, Coady 32.  Antonio is 35, has not played for 14 months following a broken leg and broken down in training at Leicester.  I'm glad it ain't my money.

    ... mind you, if he gets the goal that keeps us up - what price then?

    Charlton Athletic medicals are a tad different from many clubs ?
    As long as you can touch your toes when sitting down you pass with flying colours 💪🏼
