Nathan Jones has a Rival ?

Nathan Jones isn't the only Manager/Coach that goes "mad" on the touchline during the match.

On the BBC 6 o'clock news today the Hearts manager Derek McInnes was shown doing a "Nathan" on the touchline when Hearts scored.

Has our Nathan got any other touchline celebration rivals ?

Rubbish, when we were having that bad run last season we had 9 first team players out injured.

But these were some of our best players. Jones, Ramsay etc all out for weeks on end.  I remember looking at who was still out and it went on and on, 9 first teamers.

Ironically Jones came on as sub in the 86th minute, and from the next game our results improved.

Always surprised when Ramsey makes it into the team given we don't have anyone at the club with that name.

Nathan Jones’s rival is Igor Tudor, the new Spurs manager.

"His style is intense," George Boxall, a football journalist based in Marseille, where Tudor managed between 2022 and 2023, tells BBC Sport.

"The players do a hell of a lot of running. There's lots of intensity, lots of pressing.’’

That’s putting it nicely imo. His plays a style of football that, like Nathan Jones’s football, is awful to watch. We might put up with it to stay in The Championship but I can’t see Spurs fans liking it at all. Players like Ginola, Gascoigne and Hoddle wouldn't get a chance in one of his teams.

He asks his players to run a lot. In a previous interview he said 'if you don't run, you don't play'," says L'Equipe journalist Pierre-Etienne Minonzio.

"In his one season in Marseille it was always the same way of playing - 3-5-2 - and it was great to watch.

"It was not easy because Marseille's best player was Dimitri Payet, a very gifted player but not well-known for running, and he didn't play.

"It was a joke in L'Equipe - if Igor Tudor had Lionel Messi in his squad, Messi would not play!"

Well, that'll save the board a lot of money then !

Sounds like he'd have loved Mike Reid on his coaching staff.

    "Runaround!"
