Well done to Southanpton. It was only a few years ago they were in administration in league one, now they are in a champions league place and one of the richest clubs in the world.

This list is pony. It is based solely on a club's income. You can have a massive income but if you spend more, then you are poor. It proves nothing. We all know that the majority of clubs in the Premier league are living beyond their means and are not viable businesses, let alone "rich".1

Don’t want to get in the way of an enjoyable bit of banter, but I have worked for a Madrid based firm for many years working alongside spaniards here and travelling there regularly. Every Spaniard calls Real Madrid “Madrid” and Atletico Madrid “Atleti”. I realise we live in the UK but I guess it’s like my West Ham mates who always question talk of United and say “Wot, West Ham? “0

It's listening to what the teams are called by the fans in Spain. And 'validated' in very timely fashion by usedtobegood's subsequent post.
