If the rumoured 35m Euro fee is correct we'd get about 1m Eurosgolfaddick said:

I was a season ticket holder at The Valley from 1986 until 2015. I saw Ademola make his debut. Since 2016, I’ve been living in Bergamo and have had a season ticket at Atalanta since then. I’ve watched Ade’s entire journey in Italy, and while we all saw that historic Europa League hat-trick, the reality here is a bit more complicated than the headlines suggest.
It might surprise you, but despite his heroics, Ade isn't universally loved by the Curva Nord. On his day, he is completely unplayable—world-class. But his inconsistency and his behavior during transfer windows have really divided the fanbase here.
On two separate occasions, he refused to play because the club wouldn't let him leave. He even went as far as deleting every reference to Atalanta from his social media for months in protest of a move to Inter Milan falling through. In a place like Bergamo, where loyalty and 'Grinta' are everything, those things aren't easily forgotten.
That said, he is genuinely loved by the players and staff. He has a brilliant relationship with Matteo Ruggeri (who went to Atletico Madrid last year).
When he first signed, I was so proud to tell anyone who would listen that he was 'Made in Charlton.' But ultimately, when people look back at the greats of this era—names like Papu Gomez, Ilicic, and Duvan Zapata—Ade won't be spoken of with that same level of affection.
He’s likely been advised badly, but in a part of the world where black players aren't always given the benefit of the doubt, his departure feels a bit tragic. He leaves as a legend on paper, but a complicated figure in the hearts of the fans.

Do we get any money ?Callumcafc said:Atalanta and Atletico Madrid have reached an agreement for the transfer of Ademola Lookman.Under FIFA rules, when a player is transferred between clubs while under contract (like from Atalanta to Atlético), 5 % of the transfer fee is set aside as a solidarity contribution. That 5 % is then shared among all clubs that trained the player between ages 12 and 23.aliwibble said:Now confirmed, gone to Atletico Madrid for £30.3m. - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cvgpy248823oWe should receive about £450k from that.

What an absolutely brilliant insight. It confirms the impression I had of him that he is a complicated individual. I always thought he was very brave going out to Leipzig so young when still very few English players were prepared to move to the Continent. Marked him out as someone prepared to do things differently.nelsonsleftfoot said:I was a season ticket holder at The Valley from 1986 until 2015. I saw Ademola make his debut. I read yesterday that more recently he completely fluffed a penalty this season in the UCL and as a result they lost to Bruges. Maybe that kind of thing is the reason why the fee looks relatively low to me given his recent success.2 -
Scores within 35 mins on his debut. Typical Ade goal cutting in off the left18

Got to respect the lad, from Waterloo FC and a go in our U21s to scoring against Barca for one of the biggest clubs in Europe. You could tell he was special as soon as he broke in to the first team but he’s never stopped working to make it to the top.11

Yes, must be easily at this point.guinnessaddick said:Must be the most expensive Charlton Player in terms of total transfer fees paid in his career.Obviously, didnt start with us, but always have Bent as the most expensive, after leaving us. He would have been around £45-50m?0 -
not good enough for Everton though

Or Leipzig. He took a while to get going even though the talent was always there.MrOneLung said:not good enough for Everton though
A good example of why players like TC and Leaburn may not peak until their late 20s.
Not saying either are as talented as Lookman of course, but both have room to improve further.3 -
As I recall, when he made his debut for Everton, he was on the bench and came on with 10 minutes to go. He then scored within a couple of minutes, a typical Lookman goal, not a tap in !MrOneLung said:not good enough for Everton though
Not sure what happened in the rest of his time there ? We did get 10 million for him though didn't we ?0 -

That goal was the only goal he scored for them in 36 league appearances.CombeMartin said:

He didn't really do that well for Leipzig either, then did ok for Fulham and Leicester on loan but it was only when he went to Atalanta that he kicked on and turned into the player he is today.0
