Are the Fan Advocates on here?

An Australian fan, Derek Story, is coming over and wants a ticket for the Birmingham game.

The Club have told him they won’t go on General Sale. He wants a ticket just for himself.

He came on the International Facebook page to ask for help and I gave him the fan advocate email address to ask for help. He’s sent the email last week and hasn’t had a reply.

He reached out again today. He’s trying to get a ticket properly without having to ask a complete stranger for help. Can someone please help him?

Mate if he doesn’t get it sorted let me know, I’m a season ticket holder and will get one for him. Will sort out logistics from there.👍

Having worked in the ticket office at the collections window for a long time, I think all tourists need to do is to bring some evidence that they're visiting (like a boarding pass) and they can buy a ticket at the ticket office on the day, even for restricted games. As long as its not a sellout of course!

It's a shame that wasn't relayed to him when he first contacted the ticket office saying he wanted a ticket.
I really don't think he'll have a problem getting a ticket from us fans (thank you so much @Sword64pf ) but that's really not the point is it?
There should be a system in place for this sort of thing if only to avoid genuine tourist supporters from getting scammed by shisters offering tickets?

And he and I appreciate it.

But the silence from official sources is a bit sad tbh.

Try the Supporters Liasion Officer at fans@cafc.co.uk

At least you will get a reply and that’s what they are paid for

When I saw this happen, it was usually a tourist who simply didn’t know about the restriction. They’d end up having to plead their case with the ticket office manager, and more often than not they were given some leeway if they could show proof they were just visiting.

I’m not sure whether that was ever an official policy or just a case-by-case accommodation. It may well have changed since I was working in collections — I left that role over a year ago now.
