Well this is fucking dreadful.1
-
Ref has ruined this game totally useless and buying everything their players are dishing up. Halftime changes please to prevent the inevitable red card or cards6
-
Utter utter wank all of them. This is like watching the Millwall game all over again. Completely overrun, Pompey cutting through us with ease, we look slow, weak and clueless when we get the ball. Big hoofs up field and that’s it. Ref has lost control of the game but we are disgusting4
-
Awful defending for the first.
Crap decision for the second.
Ref must live on Southsea.
Two big men up front isn't working. For one thing they are so far apart they can't link up. For two (and probably more importantly) it just encourages a lot of shit long balls that their defence can easily mop up.
Something's gotta change.2 -
NJ has to take some of the yellow cards off or we will end up with 9 men, or possibly less.

Ain't going to happen. We haven't got the balls. Will lose both.DamoNorthStand said:2 big away games to come where we will have to make this up.
Either 3 points at Southampton or West Brom needed really.3 -
Godden is not in the squad todayPedro45 said:Wow.. Seen some dodgy refs over the years and this one is right up there. Said to my wife early he was blowing for rverything, then the cards started. 5 is ridiculous when not even 1 bad foul.
In desperation, and to help prevent a red, I would take off the 4 outfieders with yellow, and bring on Collins, TC, Fevrier, and Godden.
We may not win but at least the chances of a red would be diminished.
Good game to win from here....

Tc, fevrier and Coventry aren't on the pitch with the other subs2

Pompey are a really poor side and we should be trying to play football against them. They actually seem to be standing off our players and giving them time on the ball because they know it'll be lumped high and long.Covered_End_Lad said:Can we all agree that two big lumps up front doesn’t work? No one to run off a flick on. Get Doc off really don’t know what he offers at all.3 -
People speculating we will be wasting precious funds on Antonio when Kaminski continues to underwhelm compared to what we already had.3

We were poor. But that ref must be on the take, no way he’s booked five of ours for very little, as others have said no warnings etc.
Even if we manage to get a goal, we will have a red card by 60.1 -
Abducted by aliens, wasn't it?valleynick66 said:
Tricky as he’s not even on the bench 😀Pedro45 said:Wow.. Seen some dodgy refs over the years and this one is right up there. Said to my wife early he was blowing for rverything, then the cards started. 5 is ridiculous when not even 1 bad foul.

Will be missing for three weeks.5 -
Like to see chambers,Leaburn and doc changed.
Kelman, Campbell and anyone on.0 -
Christ if we play with two wingers at WB like against Southampton we're in deep deep trouble. Hopefully TC is replacing one of the front twoLoneRanger88 said:Tc, fevrier and Coventry aren't on the pitch with the other subs0 -
This result could define our season…instead of having a safety gap we are right back in it and I can see us losing our next 2 games….0
-
A lot about the ref and I get that but come on we have been appalling all over the pitch. Lump ball our only tactic and no midfield again. Jones has to change this up early on.1
-
Why cant we sustain any kind of good form, couple matches then we're back to crapness again0
-
It’s a consistent theme, doesn’t matter who the opposition are, if they move the ball quickly through midfield we can’t cope. The entire back 5 then end up retreating and our only ‘answer’ is to punt it forward and hope for a second ball.If Clarke takes that chance in the first minute it might have been different, but since the first goal we have been nothing short of pathetic. Can’t retain possession, can’t hold the ball up when it goes to the forwards, midfield look like elephants in quick sand and no threat from wide areas.
The ref hasn’t helped and the penalty was laughable, but that doesn’t excuse the shit served up by our players.
Minimum 3 changes at HT. Both Fevrier and Campbell should come on as we need to inject some pace into the team and I’d also be tempted to bring Coventry on for Coady who has been completely anonymous.
No way this ends with 11 v 11 so Jones needs to think about protecting players who have yellow card as well.5 -
May as well get beat trying to score . Team is set up to be solid. Horse has bolted so try something else. Chambers off and fevrier on, too lightweight and a red car waiting to happen. Coady off, not needed now, so go extra attacker in campbell and play docherty deeper. Dykes or leaburn off and put kelman on. 3 up, still play direct though.

The pitch is also not helping….looks terrible and the ball keeps bobbling1
-
Not playing well, but the referee has been awful. Poole definitely tried to get a second yellow for Miles, as the referee has been SO card happy towards our players.1
-
Yeah. An awful ref.NJ needs to change it up at HT. Certainly TC on. Give them something to worry about out wide up front.0
-
Shit Ref
Shit tactics
Shit midfield0 -
literally zero attacking intent other than half volley every second ball towards their goal.
blame the ref but fuck me, we are fucking atrocious.2 -
TC to come on and score 3 for a 3-2 win.0
-
Coady today has played how I expected him to when he signed, cant keep up, not the only one tbf3
-
Feel for Chambers a bit here, some of those balls have been fired at him like a hand grenade when he's got two or three around him.4
-
And on a booking too so can't even fully commitWattsTheMatter said:Feel for Chambers a bit here, some of those balls have been fired at him like a hand grenade when he's got two or three around him.1 -
A tough watch. Portsmouth haven’t needed to do much, but find themselves 2 up. Think we’ll react and score this half, so maybe 3-2 at the end.0
