    Blackburn showed real determination.

    Let's do the same tomorrow

    Terrible defending
    This.

Started deep in their own half with a throw. Didn't get it far enough upfield & then couldn't clear it when on the touchline. 2 or 3 Preston players then turned their back on the ball & didn't seen to care when the Blackburn throw was taken.

Looks like we are going to have to do it the hard way. Be prepared for Leicester & WBA to get results tomorrow lunchtime too.

As much as a lot of people have given away the 3pts tomorrow already, if we did win it drags another few teams into it if they don’t win, all to play for.

A decent number of points will be required to stay up this season. I can see the battle for the 3rd place being brutal, and going to the wire.

There are a whole load of mid table teams who are very beatable if you play well. By the time we play Preston, they'll surely be in mid table and going nowhere.
  • We need 4 wins and that's what we need to focus on.  Not overly confident of getting them but hoping.

Beat Preston at home and parity is restored vis-a-vis Blackburn. No biggie.

(until or unless we fail to do that)

So. Because Blackburn are a point behind having played an extra game... we're doomed?

Two new managers getting more out of their teams at Blackburn and Norwich. I wonder if Rowettt will at Leicester too.

Hadn't noticed that. Awkward one, but self preservation is key. They'll manage to self destruct in the playoffs anyway.

And 'Boro, Stoke and Coventry would be nice...

West Brom got to be favourites to go with Oxford and Wednesday now surely

No point worrying what others do, just focus on what we have to do

I wouldn't mind a draw between Stoke and Leicester, as we could catch Stoke. As we saw last week, they're not very good at the moment.

I certainly wouldn't hate wins for those three.

Favourites yes but I think Blackburn and Portsmouth still have a lot to do - they've picked up in terms of points and performances, but then so had we, seemingly, only to turn in a performance like the one against Pompey and raise anxiety levels again.

Could go all the way down to the wire for that 3rd spot now.

Would be lovely if everyone kept losing and our current 39 points would keep us up but I think we all know that wasn’t happening.

13 more points to get from 14 games by my reckoning. First opportunity to get 1 or 3 tomorrow afternoon.
  • Feckin Blackburn !

Clearly didn't stick to the "script" :(

I'd be happy with a clean sheet for us at the final whistle tomorrow.

Seconded. Good luck mate and all our Millwall mates.  Our spritual brothers. And do give us a shout if you need any help at london bridge or thereabouts tomorrow for some "trainspotting".  A new era dawns.

Any time I ever want Preston to win they fucking lose.

Hope the northern batards endure another 100 years in the Championship. Absolute nothing club.

Pompey have a lot of players to come back from injury. Blackburn will have enough. Their new manager has had an effect. Think Rowett will keep Leicester up and you lot got enough points early in the season to keep you up. You usually follow a bad performance with a couple of effective ones. ie basic stuff but enough to pick up a 1 nil or a tight draw. That’ll be enough to get you over the line.

If I was a West Brom fan I’d be really worried
