Good question.DOUCHER said:
why wasn't there an independent review after CAST's representations ? far more ridiculous than what happened to chelsea fans - getting held back at an away game> whatever nextDansk_Red said:An artical in The Gaurdian stating that the police are insigating an independent rewiew on polcing of the Chelsea game after complaints from CST.2 -
It hasn’t taken Chief Superintendent Guildford & the Macabi farce that has led fans not to trust police decisions. They’ve gotten away with treating fans disgracefully on too many occasions for way too many years.7

"the Commander considered holding the visiting supporters in the stadium while home supporters left, however this was assessed to be unrealistic due to a reduced train timetable."
Absolutely laughable.19 -
Old bill basically saying they made the right decision and will do the same next season.

Apparently it was a one-off and hasn't been done before.
Really?2 -
It's taken them 5 months to find the reason - a reduced timetable.
1) Was there a reduced timetable?
2) So what? Inconvenience us for it rather than them ?
Conclusions:
1) The police have done what they see is least hassle for them as they are lazy c**ts and want overtime for doing f**k all.
2) There is potentially a millwall fan in the police and network south east making the decisions but likely just nr.1 above.
3) Cause trouble and the police will reward you.10 -
You are correct on all 3 points.DOUCHER said:It's taken them 5 months to find the reason - a reduced timetable.

Well that’s a load of 🐂 💩, the kick off was 12:30, game finished at approximately 2.15 -2.30 pm on a Saturday afternoon. So they let them out to catch trains. The Chelsea game kicked off at 8pm and finished about 10pm on a Saturday night, kettle them in after for 1/2 hour, no thought about trains when making that decision.24
-
They would probably have added in about both sets of fans heading up to the march up town but then they'd have to organise a march for next year rather than just tell the train company to reduce the service. The only logical conclusion is for a full home supporter riot if it happens again. Now i'm not (necessarily) advocating that but is there any other way this will get resolved? Any other suggestions?guinnessaddick said:Well that’s a load of 🐂 💩, the kick off was 12:30, game finished at approximately 2.15 -2.30 pm on a Saturday afternoon. Nothing will ever change until there is a riot and someone is seriously injured or dies.
And then it will change for a few years and then go back to the way it was before.
Reactionary.
It has been forever thus.
Football and its supporters are not a priority and never will be.5 -
You're right - when people have exhausted all other options, the only next action available is a protest and then a riot - now this clearly isn't as important as most things that get protested or rioted about but that' basically the logical conclusion unless we just take it up the backside from those making the decisions (who's wages we pay).KBslittlesis said:Nothing will ever change until there is a riot and someone is seriously injured or dies.

The Met Police are reducingthe number of mounted police officers, they say that this will impact policing of football matches.0
-
what a load of shit - same thing will clearly happen next season*
*if we're still in the same division0 -
There’s always been supporters in football policing with bias.CaptainRobbo said:

Football and its supporters are not a priority and never will be.When I was in it, it was West Ham that used to get the rub of the green.
My boss was a Millwall fan when I worked there, we all just ignored him at the time but eventually he was the only one left and things went back to the way they were, awful.
It’s all run centrally now, so I have no idea about allegiances. But things will be policed on the perception rather than intelligence nowadays. Which is the stuff off nonsense.2 -
"Similar steps may be used again"

Absolutely guaranteed this will happen again next season.

We all declare that we are Jewish & therefore the Met's plans are anti-semitic.DOUCHER said:

So the police are basically saying, that they are petrified of Millwall supporters and think that the thing to do is to inconvenience the majority of reasonably behaved Charlton supporters.9

My old Dad used to be a copper. His favourite saying was “There is no situation so bad, so desperate. That a Policeman can’t turn up and make it a thousand times worse “8

Should of got Slipper of The Yard onto this one... Then we would of seen results!
Sorry, but the older you get the more it sinks in, that the cnuts of this world will always prosper.
They (the Spanners) are cnuts, er go, they get catered for first.0 -
So I take it that the police are saying that due to a reduced timetable, the fans would take longer to exit the area by train and they didn't want to "look after" Millwall fans for longer, so let them go first.0
-
What happened at our away game at the scum?
I think they let us get on the trains pretty quickly , some fans walked back saying not letting us through, a mate then messaged a few mins later saying he was on train back to London and had been let through , pretty soon ish after our game had finished .

Hmmmm, I'm not so sure I agree with this particular interpretation of the statement by CAST .....shirty5 said:
In light of that it is encouraging to hear that, although the possibility of a repeat of November's tactics is not ruled out, the decision to re-route home fans was "a one-off decision based on that day's risk assessment". The issue of the reduced train schedule from Charlton station has not been mentioned before in communications from the Police but it is clear from Sir Mark's letter that the Match Commander would have considered holding visiting supporters back if a full timetable had been in operation. If we can assume a full timetable next season there will be strong grounds for holding Millwall fans back and allowing home fans free egress.

Anyway, Mark Rowley is a complete **** and I don't think we should automatically believe any of the shit that comes out of his mouth.
The decision to shut police counters is farcical and will lead to an even lower profile - when already it seems the police are hiding away in fewer and fewer offices, sat behind big gates and only coming out to sit in their cars and nab people for speeding fines, etc. You just never see them walking down a street anymore.3 -
Nothing will change until Charlton fans do not accept it and be a little bit naughty and force the ob hand!2

Yes, that would really make the police treat us better!5
