We are going to be overrun in midfield.

Berry & Burke back in the side. NJ is either a genius......or very stupid. We'll find out by 5pm.
  • Wonder what the odds are, for us to lose both Burke and Bell to injury in a single half of Football again

Kaminski misses out with a hamstring injury.

It’s clear that NJ doesn’t trust Coventry and Docherty together. But why that means the answer is Luke Berry I have no idea.

Horrendous, Jones is going to have to learn the hard way that Berry is nowhere near this level.

Bell at left wing back screams another hamstring injury.

TC up front at least breaks up the big man big man combo and adds some pace.

Burke? At LCB? Or will Ramsay be there? Not ideal either way.

Jones no doubt playing Wrexham through injury/illness as always.

There are many games I’d never just take a draw, but Parkinson teams battle and work just like Jones teams do, so this is one I struggle to see us winning. Even more so with that line up.

Bell at Left-Back / Left Wing-Back? - That makes me nervous... I'd have gone with Fevrier
    Why so?
Does your question relate to Bell or Fevrier?
If the former, because he doesn't seem to have the hammy's to play on the flank anymore, and tends to get injured when he's been deployed out there this season - Thought Fevrier would be a better Full-Back option in place of Chambers, but as Golfie says, he's probably a bit too attacking.
I like Fen's idea that we might have Ramsay and Clarke as our Wing-Backs today in some form

What does JRC have to do to get some game time?

Very strange line up, surely there’s a plan of sorts but I am not smart enough to know what it is yet.

Hopefully this isn’t a Derby / Southampton at home and we have to change after 25-30 minutes. I am assuming it’s the usual formation (maybe a box as a slight variation) as there are too many defenders for anything else.

I did not think we’d see Bell at LWB again this season. Big risk and can’t say I’m hugely supportive of it.

I haven’t been impressed with Carey when playing deeper and not sure I’ve seen anything from Berry lately to warrant a start.

Hopefully we are posting the Jones Masterclass picture in two hours times

Maybe it isn’t Bell at LWB, maybe it’s a back three of Burke, Jones, Bell with Ramsay RWB and Clarke LWB
That was my guess too. Can’t see Bell out wide.

Good to see Lloyd playing, though I hope he is properly fit .. forgotten all about Brooks .. what's happened to Mannion, has he just dropped down the keeper's ladder ?
This game should be a cracker, we want revenge for the bit of a mauling we got at theirs last season .. we'll need to be in top top form to get ought from this

Wouldn't surprise me to see TC at LWB and Clarke or Ramsay in midfield, Berry playing off loan striker Dykes.

Not sure why, they played together during arguably our most successful period. Can't get my head around this line up but we'll see.

NJ actually made some interesting comments about this to Cawley. In effect he was saying that JRC will get more minutes when the rest of the team is able to able to play on the floor better. He was sort of saying JRC’s attributes don’t quite fit into the team at the moment but he’ll be more effective as we change style of play

That line up is very concerning if we're still setting up 532...

  • Terrible line up!

    We’re in for a pasting! 0 - 4.

They’re going to run Lloyd into the ground hope he gets a card today so he’s forced to rest and Berry shouldn’t be in any championship starting squad in 2026.

I would have preferred JRC over Berry for sure. However, apparently Wrexham's usual DM options are injured, so if our plan is to hoof it past our midfield to Dykes, and have Berry and Carey running onto it, I guess it might work.

I’ll be very surprised if Bell plays at wingback. We need him at the back.

Berry can't run onto anything in 2026

The art of confusion. Very canny.

Problem is it will only be our players that are confused!

    5-0 Wrexham

    OK, I'm with you now.
I'd rather have Bell on the park full stop, but in a back 3 preferably.

In that case I suspect we have seen the last of JRC

    Horrendous lineup

If Burke is fit enough to start, why risk Jones?

If Chambers is fit enough to be on the bench, why risk Bell at LWB?

If Docherty has been fine in the middle recently and you need to drop Coady cos he's not allowed to play, why also drop him?

If doing all that, why also bring in an ageing number 10 that forces you to play your major goal threat deeper all game, making him less effective?

Now I've moaned about it we'll win 4-0, Jones and Bell will play 90 mins each then run a marathon after the final whistle and Berry will get a hat-trick

I've tried to be more positive in recent weeks but simply struggling to find any positives when Berry is starting.
