Be careful you don't take the mrs to the wrong browns but also take some pound coins with you just in case.3

Definitely agree that if you’re doing Claridges, don’t eat before. We did the afternoon tea there once but had stayed in the hotel the previous night and had breakfast there which was a banquet in itself. Thankfully we had it quite early but was struggling towards the end of the afternoon tea.jonno said:Done a few cream teas, and although I've not been for a while, the best by far in my experience is Claridges. It's definitely special and the food is endless - don't eat anything else on the day!0 -

Blimey, each to their own, but I'm genuinely surprised at the traction this thread has got.
Meanwhile, over on Millwall Life: I tried the Greggs lunch deal once but it was a bit too oily-toity for me... pie n mash luvverly... I know a bird who works as a grease monkey at Bermondsey arches, at lunchtime she'll take it up the rong un if you share your samwiches wiv err, never washes er ans tho, so it feels a bit dirty... wots all this strange ritin stuff, can people aktully reed it?2 -
Was at The Valley Cafe for a home match a year or so back and had to queue up for around 15 minutes or so, the queue was out onto the pavement, no problem with that, they were of course very busy.hoof_it_up_to_benty said:
Definitely cheaper....cafcledbury said:The valley cafe
When I got to the counter I ordered……..only to be informed it was cash only!
I was told there’s a cash machine across the road……all very well but I would have to queue up again.
Absolute bollox…..when I suggested they put a sign up clearly pointing this out, the young teenage girl seemed to think my complaint was amusing.
She pointed out a sign by the till (about the size of a cigarette packet), which you could only see once you arrive at the counter…..if at all.🤔0 -
You do have contend with the noise of @LouisMend eating his meatballs in the corner though!cafcledbury said:The valley cafe
