NZ opening pair:
Allen - 289 runs @ 57.80 & SR 203.52
Seifert - 274 runs @ 45.66 & SR 161.17
Combined - 563 runs @ 51.18 & SR 180.45
England's opening pair:
Buttler - 62 runs at 8.85 & SR 106.89
Salt - 125 runs @ 17.85 & SR 158.28
Combined 187 runs @ 13.36 & SR 136.50
Time for Buttler and Salt to step up tomorrow0 -
Fastest ever T20 WC century - beating previous best by 14 balls !1
-
I have just watched the NZ innings and that was off the scale.
Blimey, that was amazing from Allen and Seifert.
Seifert was excellent with 58 from 33 balls but then Allen took over and he tore up the record books with 100 not out from 33 balls to beat the unbeaten South Africa by 10 wickets.
As he had Cramp half way through, Finn Allen decided to do it in boundaries and smashed eight 6's and ten 4's in his record breaking innings.
173/1 off just 12.5 overs is a crazy victory against South Africa.

The typical South Africa result in a World Cup.0

England win the toss and have elected to bowl. Overton in for Rehan. India have the same side.0

A sportsman's bet they don't? (albeit I reserve the right to claim "void" if Buttler is reported to pull up lame or gets a bout of Delhi belly)Leuth said:

If he fails and England win, I do not see how you let Matt Henry at him in the final0

They'll drop Buttler in that case and bring Crawley in for him.Leuth said:If he fails and England win, I do not see how you let Matt Henry at him in the final6 -
Stating the obvious i know.
But we need to take a couple of wickets in the power play and try to put them under pressure.
If India get off to a flyer they will post a big score.1 -

Hopefully some dew will play a part as it gets later. Certainly helped New Zealand.2

I was going to say that it all depends on how Archer bowls in the PP and then Rashid later. One bowler, however, that has gone under the radar is Overton - 9 wickets @ 12.55 with an ER of 6.64blackpool72 said:Stating the obvious i know.

The Kiwis didn't really make use of that advantage. They made the tactical error of sending the ball repeatedly into the crowd without it touching any grass on the way.Karim_myBagheri said:Hopefully some dew will play a part as it gets later. Certainly helped New Zealand.2 -

Samson was on 15.
Let's see how many that drop costs us0 -
That was an incredible shot from Samson, guiding the ball on off stump into the gap off Archer. Fact is, though, he shouldn't be there to play it.1

We are all human. But it could be very costly.0

Harry Brook needs a humbling tbf.Samson is getting 100 here isn’t he.0
