    I'm a broken record, but I absolutely detest win toss bowl in these knockout games. If the wicket is decent, just bat.

    In India in these late matches it's normally better to bat second. See the other semi final if there is dew. 
    Plus unless I got this wrong wasn't it the reason why they have added a impact sub in IPL to make it more fairer for the side bowling second so winning the toss isn't as important.

    How so? Would he have played a different shot if they were chasing?
    Hugely more pressure chasing in a knockout game IMO. Anyhow, it's a matter of opinion, obviously.

    He hasn't in this WC though. He has by far the best economy rate at 6.83 and has taken 9 wickets at 13.66 apiece. In fact, overall, statistically he's ben our best even though, at times, it might not seem so.

    It's bizarre to see Samson smashing the ball, here, there and everywhere for 66* off 33 and then appreciate that Finn Allen had more than half as many again, another 34, at the same stage yesterday.

    My only hope, so far as Buttler is concerned, is that chasing such a big score "frees him" to the extent that he no longer sees himself as the passive partner. Searching for the ball has been a massive issue and a "see ball/hit ball" attitude might make all the difference. Might.
