Side note, I think Dykes will be bang up for this. Strikes me as that sort of person who will want stick it to Davies and celebrate in his face or something!
He seems bang up for every game to be fair. Its some of the others around him which need to be up for it too

Do quite fancy us for this one, but given our tendancy to go against expectations that may not be a good thing.

As Naby said really hoping we don't go two big up top - the Brum fan on Charlton Live said they aren't great when teams stick it on them, which is exactly the phrase Jones and the team have used about that approach. Maybe it will work like at Leicester but the success rate so far is pretty poor.

Would love to see JRC into the middle behind Carey, but I suspect Doc is far more likely. Similarly would prefer Kelman to partner Dykes with a TC & Leaburn switch later, but I expect TC to start.

Whoever starts needs to be bang up for it because there are definitely points to be had here if we give a good account of ourselves.

    1-0 Dykes

Think that is pretty much spot on.

Dykes is certain to score, the only question is whether he'll get a polite reception from the Brum fans and won't celebrate out of respect, or they'll boo him so he shushes and cups an ear to them...

Play like we did against Wrexham and we win this, no way do we create so many chances again and not score. Play like we did v Portsmouth and we'll get smashed again. So hard to predict what will happen with this Jekyll and Hyde team. I'm going for a Charlton show up and win 2-0.

Just looked at the fixture list.  With Pompey at Blackburn, Leicester and WBA at Ipswich and Sheffield Utd respectively, I see this as a free hit and I’m not too bothered about the result
    Free hit?

    We need free points! :)

Welcome back FA, hope the operation went smoothly.

    Think we'll line up:
    ..................Kaminski
    ...........Ramsay Jones Bell
Clarke Carey Coady Docherty (C) Chambers
    ...............Dykes TC

Expect Brum to have a lot of the ball. Look for us to press and hit them on the counter. Their CBs are good in the air so we'll need TC to get the ball down and run at them. I'd take a draw, I still think they're a decent side that lines up well against us. And they've spent loads of money.
    Kaminski is not fit.

I actually think the result of this game could be season defining, so I’m pretty nervous for this one

Have a feeling we’ll win it, but it’s been a season of surprises

    Going for 1-0, Chambers

Lyndon Dykes is on loan from Birmingham

I expect he will not play, against his home Club.

Usually the condition of a loan.

    So   Leaburn should play

Dykes is our player not on loan, 100% plays and hopefully the ex player rule goes in our favour for once!!

A draw would not break my heart. We have a horrible Midweek trip and then away to a resurgent Oxford.
    Every point we scrape helps,

Hmmmm, risk is sleep walking to relegation. Prefer to see a point at least, confidence is all at this late stage, and prospects of winning at Middlesborough- not good. Then going  to Oxford on the back of 3 losses....

Gough, Fullah and Mitchell all in the squad arrival video so at least one of them will be on the bench. No sign of Sichenje

Hang on!! I got loled last week for looking into the lineup based on the pre match socials!!, where is the balance?😂…. Shame if there is no Sichenje though, Ramsay and Clarke on the right side to start.

My only logic is 2 CB’s into the matchday group (including spare men) suggests 2 CB’s are out, 1 of which will be Burke

"So-and-so not seen in arrival video on club socials posts therefore can't be there and not in squad"

Presumably the club videos aren't Cecil B DeMille levels of casting with thousands in the film so someone not featuring may not mean too much ...

    Must win.

    Settle for 1-0.

Would be really nice to win convincingly.

Yes makes sense, would have thought Gough over Mitchell, but foolish to predict with NJ.

Heard Sichenje is still in his world book day outfit so wasn’t recognised going in😜

Or if he's out of today's game he could be back for Tuesday or Saturday 🤔

Just seen who the ref is tomorrow …  James Linington again one of top 3 worst ref ever seen at the valley , plus we not won when he been in charge …. before i saw this I was going to say as long as the ref  does his job correctly unlike the last two games .. we will get something tomorrow … now we not got a hope in hell …..

team news Coady will come back for injured Coventry and Doc needs to come back in .. up top Kelman and Dykes we need goalscorers not an experiment …

Ronnie with another made up injury shocker!
