Told you you’d be safe! All but a formality now.

Just need you to take some points off boro and Ipswich please 😁
I noticed you have a few games against the bottom 4 or 5 sides, if you want us to beat Boro and Ipswich, can you be kind and beat the other teams please for us?

More chance of me banging Amanda Holden up the arse than Charlton winning at Middlesbrough

Just as well we did get the win with everyone else getting at least a point. In the end it’s two points gained on pretty much everyone and Oxford no closer. 10 games to get 4-8 points
Actually so much better than that. 9 points gained today from our win compared to our near rivals.

West Brom drew at home to Brum, but Oxford, Blackburn and Norwich all lost to them. Only us and Leicester have beaten them at home.

    For anyone interested:
Oxford won at Preston so gain their 3 points back on us as we lost there. Oxford +/-0.
Blackburn and Portsmouth drew whereas we drew at Blackburn and lost at home to Portsmouth, so a point gained back on us by Blackburn.  Blackburn -2. (Portsmouth yet to play BCFC at home).
Leicester drew at Ipswich where we won. That and matching their result in our win today means Leicester -2.
West Brom drew at Sheff Utd where we won. That and our win today means West Brom -5

This hurt my head trying to understand it and i'm still not sure i get the logic in trying to say we gained 9 points from one win, but in any case but surely the West Brom difference is -4?

Well, if Les Dennis nailed it I'm sure you have a chance!

I'm starting to worry we'll be safe too soon and have nothing to play for at the end of the season.
At which point we’ll suddenly turn into prime 1970’s Brazil

While the coverage of our game on the ITV highlights show was pathetically short, in a way it's reassuring that we were shunted into the "unimportant games" section of the programme.

These posts after each game always feel like a malfunctioning AI when all you've asked for are the Championship results and current league table.

Boro captain Dale Fry limped off injured in the first half, so will miss Wednesday I assume.

Boro move the ball so well. Will be a big test of our defensive structure and organisation on Wednesday night

This is maths at another level.

As I recall, trainspotting was far simpler. One train = one number crossed off in the book. Sorted!

Boro seem to have found some form again after a bit of a wobble. Not great news for Weds but hopefully means they or Ipswich will finish second.

Proper club Boro. A decent academy and sensible acquisitions.

Hopefully they've used up their quota of goals this week and we can see out a tame 0-0 draw.

Local Boro reporter on the radio earlier was saying they struggle against low block teams. We might manage to nick something but it’s much more likely we get hammered

Hackney reminds me of Parker when he was running things for us. Brilliant player.

Hardest game left for sure. It won’t be pretty but let’s just try and frustrate them.

As for QPR, felt all year there is nothing between them and us. They are only 3 points ahead with a worse goal difference. We should be targeting them

    From QPR life:

Don’t rule out a relegation fight , one team usually drop from nowhere every year , confidence looks shot and no goals in the team , passing is awful , heads go down too quickly, seen it year after year .

Coventry, Boro and Millwall have been superb this season.  They’ve all had their off days and odd wobbles, but they’ve been the 3 standout teams for me.  Ipswich are a good team, but there’s something a bit off about them for me.

I caught the Coventry Boro game a few weeks ago, and even though Boro lost, I thought they were the better team and may have gone on to win it, had they not conceded a very poor third so soon after getting a goal back.

I think the top 2 will be as is, the playoffs will be very hard to call.  Millwall would be the ones everyone wants to avoid currently, and we don’t know just yet, who the ‘form’ team will be.

I genuinely can’t call the remaining 2 to go down.  Pompey looked like they’d cracked it a few weeks ago beating us and Millwall, but are right back in it.  Blackburn have probably got it right with Micheal O’Neill.  WBA might find something under Morrison given he’s a fan favourite up there.  Leicester still possess a bit of quality, and Oxford will be buzzing to be back in with a shout

I’d assign Kayne Ramsay on a man marking mission on Hayden Hackney. He was everything in that performance today. Far too good for the level.

Last summer, it was reported Ipswich had made a bid of £20-25m for Hayden Hackney.

As it stands, smart thinking from Boro owners turning it down, if they grab an automatic spot, instead of Ipswich. Great team but Hackney is the one that makes them tick.
