The initial tackle may have been fair but he then took out his left leg with both feet.Elthamaddick said:come on - those 3 pictures tell you absolutely nothing
he's been very very unlucky with the injury, but it's a contact sport1 -
Without seeing the challenge from a side on view its hard to gauge how bad it is. Its a very strong challenge, but from the angle seen, not one you haven't seen a few times. Irrespective of that just hoping its not as serious an injury as Cowley is fearing. Speedy recovery Micah.0

If he's not back until Christmas then the likelihood of him being sold to a PL in the January window is minimal. It's got to be what's best for him and the club and that has to be whether it's better for him to push on as a member of our first team squad, which I hope to be the case, or go out on loan to a League 1 side.
In the meantime, wish him all the very best in his recovery.1 -
Wonder if he spends the summer at St Georges Park like Leaburn did0

The idea of Micah spending perhaps 9 months lifting weights as part of his rehab, must be a frightening prospect for Championship defenders5

PWR…..is there any news re diagnosis of his injury?0

Their defender didn’t slip - he went in hard on Mbick with both feet (one after the other, for some reason!?)
I think he knew he’d been dragged out of position and that the ball was about to be slipped in behind him, so he just committed to taking the ball and/or the player at all costs.

So keep those stills on one screen. now look at the available video clip again alongside them.Elthamaddick said:come on - those 3 pictures tell you absolutely nothing

What's the defender' right leg doing?
I expect Kevin Muscat said "it's a contact sport", in court. He lost.5 -
I've watched it enough times, personal view is that there's nothing in it - everything looks worse when you slow it down and freeze frame it.
as I said it's a contact sport and injuries happen, I don't even think it was a foul
Just my opinion though
fingers crossed for Mbick it's not too serious and he recovers quickly0 -
Thought it was a pretty horrendous tackle, personally.0

It looks far worse at normal speed. He stopped a player running at speed by taking out both legs.Elthamaddick said:I've watched it enough times, personal view is that there's nothing in it - everything looks worse when you slow it down and freeze frame it.

If it wasn't that bad why was he taken to hospital.1 -
Just because he got hurt doesn’t mean it was a foul. I am with the very graceful defender “Eltham Addick” who knew how to tackle!1

It's definitely a foul, probably a booking, but isn't a red... It wasn't 2 footed, it was a bit late and his trailing leg catches him. Looks like their player's knee catches the inside of Micah's on the follow through1

I think some of you might be a bit out of touch with the current rules and are thinking about your own playing days or old rules. Take a look at the guidelines for reckless or serious foul play.Of course, an easy reply could be, 'well why didn't the ref give it', but we've seen enough decisions this season to know that can't be used as a justification.1
