Sad state of affairs. Celtic should be made to pay for that damage in the interim and they must have CCTV on those morons that did that damage, and try and reclaim those costs.

Also those twats that run on the pitch from either end. The cost in doing this wouldn't be justified and the time allocated.

Closed shop from now on and who would blame them.

And storming onto the pitch celebrating to goad your biggest rivals is absolutely fine.
In fairness (and i'm definitely no supporter of Celtic) i think this has to be put down to poor policing. It didn't take a genius to work out that they'd come on the pitch if they won. Police should've been lined up during the shoot out but they were absolutely nowhere to be seen.
Definitely blame the police - I hear they handed out the song sheets and provided the masks free of charge.

If you see my previous posts i've already said the fans were morons, but both things can be true. The fans are idiots and the police didn't do their job.

Do you think if it was Millwall v West Ham or Villa v Birmingham for example, there wouldn't be a row of riot police lining the pitch by the away fans during the shoot out?

The man arrested for attacking one of the Celtic backroom staff on the pitch on Sunday is married to a serving police officer.

Celtic struggle to beat Motherwell. A pen and red card turn the game.

Open door now for Rangers to win the league

Unfortunately Hearts look like they’ve going to choke and Celtic will probably somehow win it again.

Shame the league split may play a part in who wins the title. The first three way battle for decades.

    They've blown it now.

Celtic clear favourites now as once the split happens, Celtic will face both Hearts and Rangers at home.

What happens with the split at the top? Never really paid attention to it other than the relegation half.

After 33 games, the league splits into two, top 6 play against each other, the same with the bottom half.

As predicted months ago, Celtic blow it and door wide open for Rangers to win the title.

Game is on, but hardly watching it. Bits I have looked up for, Celtic have been bloody awful. Ash had one dodgy moment, which he made up for and hardly troubled since. Just seen Panutche Camara come on for United, so it looks like they’ve scraped the barrel as well as the pitch…and still way too good for Celtic.

What is the sporting thinking behind the split? Does it happen in other leagues?

The Belgium league has a mad split.

After a traditional 30-game season, the league splits based on standings:
    • Champions Playoffs (Top 6): These teams play a 10-game (home/away) tournament to determine the league champion. Points from the regular season are halved (with odd numbers rounded up) before this stage.
    • Europe Playoffs / Playoffs II (7th-12th):These six teams play for a chance to win a spot in the UEFA Conference League, usually playing against the bottom-placed team from the Champions Playoffs. Points are also halved.
    • Relegation Playoff (Bottom 4): These teams fight to avoid relegation. Unlike the other groups, their points are not halved. The bottom teams face relegation.

AMB was in goal for United.

Sporting in Scotland? BAHAHAHA! It's to ensure there are 38 games in a 12 team division instead of 44, which apparently is too many. 22 is also not enough and doesn't provide 4 old firm games a season.

7th place pretty much always finishes with more points than 6th. It's pub league stuff that fans can't defend but the authorities are more than happy with.

That’s the “Ash” I was referring to.

These Belgians and their mad ideas about football, eh?

It's actually more common than people think.

Belgium, Serbia, Switzerland, Denmark, Austria, Bulgaria, Romania, Greece, Wales, Cyprus, all have a split and i'm sure there are more. Basically happens in countries where there aren't enough teams to play a full home and away 30+ game season.

Ok must have overlooked that, I do apologise.
