Could some spanner’s be put in the works if we get offers for Ramsay and Jones. We might have to rebuild the defence?
Jones would never join the Spanners.

Think we’ve always prepared for the worse with Ramsay with bringing in Sichenje. Considering 90% of teams now play With ball playing centrebacks and considering Jones will be nearly 31 when next season starts hope that may put off potential suitors

If Wrexham are still in the championship then that’s the team I’d be worried about for Jones. He’d suit them and they’ll pay silly money if they want him

They dropped 2.7M on a middle cb this summer from Blackburn I’d hope that would put them off Jones.

Dykes to me is a journeyman. Works very hard for the team but will not score you many. I must say I am ambivalent whether he stays or goes.
    Donkeys from Blackpool are welcome!

I stand by that, he is a donkey. The sort of striker you see in non league football. He hardly ever scores. Is he really what we need? We already have one donkey in Ahadme, do we want a  pair?
I know I might state our strikers but you can't put Dykes & Ahadme in the same category. Jeez.....at least Dykes lets the CH know he's there and can finish.
Dykes can’t finish, how many goals has he scored in his career. If he could finish he wouldn’t be playing for us. Don’t forget Ahadme cost a fair amount of money in a transfer fee. Dykes must be on a fair wage, I wouldn’t be at all upset if he leaves in the Summer.
Had to double take and check the spelling to ensure this wasnt from ronniemoore

We've had enough Herberts at our club over the years.
Good thing his name is not Herbert, then.

Can't see them going for Jones , they've got Cleworth and Callum Doyle and would probably drop the same kind of fee they did on Doyle again in the summer on an upgrade on Hyam. Think they spent a good fee on Zak Vyner from Bristol City already in Jan as depth.

If Oxford go down, I think we should look at Cameron Brannagan as Doc's replacement. Not sure on his contract situation.

He’s proven to be a one club man also 30 this summer, much rather go for his partner in De Keersmaeker

I don't think there's really anyone from that Oxford squad I'd like besides Jack Currie but I can't see that happening

Oxford gave him a massive contract to keep him the last time he was about to leave so I think whoever he goes to next at the age of 30 he'll be looking for another pay bump on what is likely to be his last big contract. Given that he's not exactly proven he's a good Championship level midfielder it would be a big investment to likely make him our highest paid player

Think they'd want every penny of the 3.5m they paid for De Keersmaker back

Tanto benched (L1) ,Apter benched (L1), Kaminski benched, Kelman benched, JRC benched. 8.5M spent there and arguably our best XI is on the pitch today.
Genuinely our worse pound for pound summer window in a long long time, thank god the winter window was so good

According to the Daily Mail, Leicester and Millwall are lining up Lyndon Dykes in the summer. Personally, I’d be disappointed if we don’t sign him after the half season he’s had.
Feels like agent talk/lazy journalism. He's not a top end Championship striker which rules out Millwall and Leicester were interested in January and either couldn't get a deal done or he preferred to come here instead
I think he’d start a decent number of games for Millwall, and probably feature in nearly every game. Would you rather have him or Coburn up top?

With Dykes I think it’s purely going to be down to how much he values playing week in week out vs his wallet. We probably won’t be the best financial offer he has this summer, but hopefully we can give him a good enough offer that he decides to join us and play week in week out rather than play less for a better team
If they go up, neither. I haven't watched enough of Coburn to really make a judgement but Coburn is 7 years younger. Dykes has miraculously played more minutes this season but still has a lower xG & xA as well as worse per 90 stats. Obviously that is skewed by playing in top/bottom end teams but Coburn isn't the donkey some seem to think he is
Yeah, no way we would want Dykes over Coburn. Coburn is fast turning in to a fan favourite at Millwall with his work rate and overall play. His goal rate is much better as well (I think it’s 5 in 12 appearances since he came back from that long term injury, and 2 of those appearances were ten minute cameos in his first couple of games back from injury). Also, Coburn will only get better, where as Dykes is probably past his peak.

Not sure this is quite the “exclusive” Sports Boom described it as when they tweeted out the link

Really Kaminski by stats the best keeper in the league and without him we would have been bottom 3 long time ago .. Kelman a striker who considering our piss poor service supplied done excellent , Apter better then Campbell .. Costello will only get better , Tanto deserved more starts

I think Sichenje was brought in for just this reason. I think his athleticism and skills will make him very versatile and he’ll be used in any number of positions

The winter window where we mainly brought in (on loan) experienced Championship players instead of expecting League 1 players to step up.

Hmmm. ......who would have thunk it  🤷‍♂️

If West Brom go down wouldn't mind us looking at Isaac Price, good technical player who was making things happen for them at the start of the season before it went really tits up for them. Excited to see who we bring in this summer and how we progress as a club

Yeah, it's almost like after getting promoted ahead of schedule we used our budget to bring in affordable players with the potential to step up so that we could make the signings we needed - 10 of them - to put together a competitive squad that was having a great season until it was derailed by injury and then brought in experienced Championship players in January - Coady, Clarke, Dykes - who weren't available or affordable in the summer to augment the squad and leave us all but safe by mid-March. Almost sounds like the transfer business has been good this season when you actually think about it.

I don’t mind Kaminski but the stats you’re talking about the defenders can influence. He is 13th for save Percentage and 18th for goals prevented he’s not been bad but I was expecting so much more.

Apter and Tanto are struggling at L1 comparing them to TC shouldn’t be justification for spending 3.5M and giving them more game time. Apter definitely deserved more time but how he’s done at Bolton and how Clarke has done at us has proved Jones right.

JRC and Kelman getting better I can actually get behind but they have to prove it otherwise ironically you could say the same about TC which we all know you love.

Charlton Athletic are determined to try and bring James Bree back to the club this summer, SportsBoom can exclusively reveal.

The right-back impressed at The Valley during a loan stint earlier this season, before being recalled by Southampton in January.

Bree returned to form under Addicks' boss Nathan Jones after being frozen out by Will Still on the south coast.

But since being recalled to St Mary's, Bree has been a mainstay in the first XI under new boss Tonda Eckert.

The club, vying to return to the Premier League at the first attempt, are firmly in the play-off mix after a fine turnaround and are currently 13 games unbeaten in all competitions, with a chance of getting to Wembley in the FA Cup.

Helped by his early-season form at Charlton, Bree has been a revelation under Eckert since returning to the club and has netted three goals during their unbeaten run.

Bree is out of contract at the end of the season and it is understood there are plenty of Championship suitors for the 28-year-old

I think Kelman has a future here.  Apter and Tanto don’t, JRC probably doesn’t either.  Jury still out on Knibbs.  We had a go, signed what we thought were players that could step up in Apter and Tanto, but they haven’t.  It happens.  JRC may come good still, but it’s looking less likely.  I would try and get rid of Burke for sure

You think Kelman has a future here? Wow. If he doesn’t then neither do Campbell or Leaburn who have worse stats in greater game time.

JRC is a weird one started 5 games, dropped a masterclass at Coventry our best player away at Pompey and never seen him since.

He was deservedly dropped after the Millwall game and since then our midfielders have done well.

Costello is only good when we have more of the ball, that’s why he came on against Wrexham, and he should have started against Oxford. But most games we play we are going to be better off having Docherty there
