Would say The Plume at Maze Hill, or The River on the bottom road...both very easy to get to the ground and no issues with 'away fans' etc... Then there's the Crown at Maze Hill too....
The Plume of Feathers is a great pub…..in all aspects.

It is. Except for one aspect. The Palace scarf behind the jump.

They are tourists. Take them for a pint at the O2 or Greenwich and get the bus to the ground; or drink at London Bridge before the game
Take tourists to Greenwich proper surely, rather than a soulless pint in the o2
Meantime bar outside the entrance is decent. Then just jump on a bus to nearer the ground
Fair I've not been there yet. Pilot is a good option too

A friend had a pub in Norwich twenty odd years ago,  he was actually a Rochdale fan,  when we played in the cup that time we obviously went and got totally plastered, the 5-0 game,  after the game he bought a fairly large framed picture of the valley for the pool/games room of his boozer,  somehow he made it home with the picture intact,  trouble is I can't remember the pubs name and sadly he's no longer with us , sorry for the boring story but I thought about this when this thread popped up.

If they're getting the train down then Greenwich Spoons, Lost Hour or Woolwich Spoons. Both one stop on the train to the game. Sorted
Greenwich one stop on the train?
Maze Hill, Westcombe Park, Charlton I thought?

Woolwich one stop on the train?
    Woolwich Dockyard, Charlton?

    So neither are 1 stop.
Sorry how Un-Charlton off me not to know how many stops are on a train. Still a good suggestion with Greenwich being 7 odd minutes on the train.

Also if the Woolwich one was open, there is a direct train. Many thanks!  :*

Id happily use that as an excuse for a pub pilgrimage to check if its still there if you can figure out which it is!

Careful with this 'just jump on a bus' concept. You will get stuck, anywhere/ anytime with traffic as it is, especially on the Woolwich Road.

Keep the Southeastern app handy and aim for the penultimate train every time. (Someone has to stay relatively sober to remember and use the app effectively)
Ruling buses out because of those dam road works backing traffic up.

Not an option, closed for refurbishment, reopens Wednesday April 1st.

I’m not sure what I laughed more at…the “refurbishment” or the opening date!

    Yes, I know…pub snob!  🤷🏻‍♂️😉

    Except for the Palace connection.
