I saw this picture on twitter of the souvenir stall opposite the club shop from the Wrexham game with various Charlton personalities' heads superimposed on top. It's not especially clear in the screenshot, but Miles Leaburn is Rodney Trotter, Steve Brown is Uncle Albert, Kevin Lisbie is Iron Man, Curbs is Superman, Scott Minto is Batman, Lloyd Jones is Wonder Woman(?!) and Kaminski is The Flash.

I thought maybe we could have a go at matching current players and staff to various superheroes, and came up with

  • Wonder Woman - Karen Hills - well she is the leader of a bunch of formidable women.
  • The Incredible Hulk - Nathan Jones - you wouldn't like him when he's angry
  • Superman - Lloyd Jones - dunno about "faster than a speeding bullet", but "leaps tall buildings in a single bound" probably works given how good he is in the air.
  • Batman and Robin - Conor Coady and Keenan Gough - after the mentoring job at Boro away
  • The Flash - Tyreece Campbell - as he's the fastest in the squad
  • Black Panther - Collins Sichenje - who else for an African warrior king?
  • Frozone (from the Incredibles) - Amari'i Bell - because he's just too cool on the ball

Any other suggestions?

    Bah, yes, I thought about that earlier on, but forgot when I was typing the post up. Oh, and Mr Incredible for Will Mannion (it's the jaw I think)
