SKY have shown a stat today in the Ipswich vs Millwall game, showing that only Ipswich have scored more goals with substitutes than us - When will people learn that we're more than just about our starting eleven this season? - Nearly an entire season in, and some still haven't worked it out.
Its not about eleven players, or the five that come on, its the squad as a whole that can be effective over 90+ minutes.
You can argue that TC has had his best moments coming on as substitute.

Could make the same argument for Kelman as well...
Leaburn and Dykes have probably been our best starters up front, but apart from Leicester they dont really work as a pairing.

    Blackburn pick up a point.
As it stands, 5 points behind us.

It's a good reminder, the job isn't done yet and we're still catchable.

People again surprised that TC is starting today.

Really, he's the only player we've got capable of carrying the ball with pace and getting us up the pitch.

    That's why he's regularly picked.
NJ tells us that every week.

If anything, we need a similar threat to him, to stop him being double marked

Unfortunately we don't really have anyone else with pace to go forward with him which means we either have balls to no-one in the box or he has to slow down, take on defenders etc until the cavalry arrive by which time it's too late.

In fact our counter-attacking in general is woeful with the support players being too slow to go forward, those already up the pitch are too slow or even static and make it too bloody easy for the defence.

It was always easy for people to take the piss out of the likes of Washington and Leko for their lack of goals and assists but it was often their off-the-ball running that opened up space for others by taking defenders with them. They wouldn't get a stat (cue more moaning down the line) but their movement would have been instrumental.

That is what we are missing at the moment.

TC's "woes" are often a symptom of the wider problem, not necessarily the problem itself.

Thus ends the case for the defence. 🤦‍♂️

Tyreece and Miles must be two of our shyest players I've ever heard on interview bless them

Anderson runs them a close third.

Sasa Illic gets a decent welcome as he comes out onto the pitch.

Shame I can't hear what he's saying because the PA system is so crap.

Looks like both teams are unchanged:

Charlton wearing red shirts, white shorts and Norwich in yellow shirts, green shorts.

Dykes putting himself about already, laid a marker on two oppo players in the first 15 seconds.

Not sure how TC wasn't being fouled as he tried to get in behind then? - Looked like his arm was being pulled

And this ref has laid down how he's going to officiate.

Dykes conceded a free kick with a nudge/push on the defender in the opening seconds ... ref awarded nothing when Dykes got the push from the defender.

    Are refs consistent?

Yes. They give f*** all to us but everything to the oppo.
