The championship highlights tonight on BBC1 made interesting viewing from a CAFC perspective.

Ambrose's 10th goal of the season - no other Palace player has more than three!

And even Jerome Thomas is now coming good - I liked his goal for WBA very much.

By contrast, poor old Andy Gray was an unused sub for Barnsley and hasn't scored for two months, which sounds all too sadly familiar...

Hamid Bouazza (or هامور بوعزة‎ as they call him back home) was absent for different reasons. The commentator said something about him being missing from the Blackpool side because he was having a personal audience with the president of Algeria...

    Bouazza will be in Algeria's world cup squad, so will Bougherra.

    Bougherra has failed to return to Rangers on time from International duty for the 3rd occassion - He might struggle for regular footy till the W.C. if he doesn't start behaving.

    JJ (St Johnstone)scored his first Scot Prem goal for 10 years yesterday - so no change there then !

    Just twisting the topic around slightly ....... but a current Championship club's player scored for Charlton yesterday.
    And another scored at The Valley last week.

    Ambrose is the one I can't believe....just keeps bloody scoring !!

    Ambrose has always had the talent and showed it plenty of times (except last season), but couldn't pull his weight as part of a midfield 4, he is now being played to his strengths and it is paying dividends for him.

    Ranger's can't afford to mess with any of their assets. Don't be surprised to see Boughera being cut some major slack again.
