Some fat drunk kept yelling 'you don't care' I thought it was gonna kick off in our own end...

A dozen or so complete ****s out of three thousand isn't too bad I guess in this day and age! We do have some chav scum though.

Gotta say I was pretty pissed at the game & got fed up with people not wanting to back the team. Sorry, but I thought our support was distinctly average on Saturday too many Siddarn's for me who show little/no backing for the team when they need it the most. We were relatively near the front & tried to get people up & join in the singing, but no-one seemed remotely interested.

If he was about 20 stone, with a big red face and looked like he had sh*t all down his jeans then i know who you mean and boy was he annoying until some bloke behind him had a stern word in his ear then he shut up.
His theory was people aren't standing up so they don't care.

wasn't there, sounds like the usual Charlton story of sell out away end / average atmosphere.

It will be much better at say Everton.

2nd half wasn't too bad at all, we got going before the team did and it worked.
To be honest I think we were all a bit shell shocked in the first half.

Were there any die hard regulars who couldn't get a ticket? I don't think so. It was hardly an "Emirates" situation.
Some people were so pissed/stoned they wouldn't have a clue what went on.

i know of a few people that couldn't get a ticket. one in particular (mainly because their valley gold mates stiched em up) managed to catch the game live on telly in an italian cafe in watford high street!

There were quite a few empty seats around. don't understand that. I know of plenty of people who quite easliy picked up tickets once the VG phased had finished.

Why? Don't understand. The VG factor was not a major part. I know of non- VG's like myself who got tickets no problem.
    Simple answer.... join VG!

To be honest i thought 2nd half the atmosphere was as good as i've seen at an away game in years. At one point as we were getting back into it, the whole end stood up as one and were singing 'super alans red n white army'

I wasnt singing that, I was singing the right words :)

Cant believe Valley Gold has been brought up again, thought the second half atmosphere was as good as it has been away from home this season, 1st half was toss, same as the team.

Its all about selling out the end in my opinion, it divides the singing fans who in a less sold out scenario would congregate more..

There was a serious problem with gas. I ain't kidding.

Good to meet some new faces. Also quite a few old faces on Saturday.

    Bring on the Geordies.

The train back to Euston was pretty windy... that the sort of gas you're referring to?

That was not a train! Silverlink need to be shot.

We were lapped twice by continental shifts. The trian to Rammy was gassed too.

I guess if it werent for the culprits, I'll stil be travelling back to Thanet right now.

Just be grateful you were spared the normal disgusting Text messages from the guilty parties. Certain things like that are just not meant to be shared..!

The VG has been placed back in a safe place ready for when I can be arsed to travel to another away game. Mick the hat was starting to wobble when we met him after the game.

Btw apologies to those who got a 1.00 am text slagging off Lisbie - including my old Mum. Let's put it down to the 120 pints of lager I had consumed.

Yep certainly was a good laugh on the way back. (not so funny sunday morning though)

Think the idea of switching to cider half way through an all day sesh is not a good idea

Yes take a bow CAFCBourne for starting all the singing on the way back.

I seem to remember someone being polite enough to vacate their seat to gas another part of the carriage before returning to their seat & everyone still complained.

Next time, make sure he waits in the other carriage, instead of wafting it back in with him...

What time did you finish up Ketters?

After I had scared off all the legible females in the Bull, i decided on retiring whilst I could still stand, probably about 40 mins or so after you left. CAFCBourne was still going strong though doing his impression on the dance floor of a buffalo on speed.
