I thought we saw the weakest league one playoffs for many years last year but looks like this years take the biscuit.

I would take anyone but Bolton promoted out of that lot, would certainly make next seasons relegation battle much weaker.

    Southampton vs. Millwall (Southampton win)
    Stockport vs Bradford (Bradford win)
Salford vs. Notts County (Notts County win)
Is my prediction for the Play-Offs...

Yes,  the points gap between 2nd and 3rd is a massive 14 points reflecting how ordinary the playoff teams are.

Luton and Plymouth will be gutted they started the season so slowly, as both are probably better now than the 4 teams above them.

Millwall v Southampton final is my guess. Both teams have been formidable over recent weeks so it’s a tough one to call. The playoffs do throw up strange results though. At one point today Hull were sitting eighth so getting that sixth place must have been a real shot in the arm. Mental fitness is a big playoff thing. In contrast Millwall must be choked not to get that second spot. Let’s hope they choke again.

And a ‘goal’ that didn’t even cross the line to boot. Saying that Luton’s penalty, neatly put away by our new signing Jordan Clark, was extremely soft.

Who do I want to go up?

    Championship:

Southampton because they were the best side I saw at The Valley this season, though I have a couple of really decent mates who support Boro, so I would not be unhappy if they did it (either one from that half of the draw will do, let's be honest).

    League 1:

Tough call, I lived in Stevenage until I was four but the questionable goal puts a bit of a dampner on it, Stockport were unlucky last year, and I am pleased that Bradford continue their rise - their fans deserve a bit of success. Not sure about Bolton... I am going for Stockport.

    League 2:

If Barnet had made it, then it would have been them all the way. Not Salford, that's for sure. All the other three have been through the mill in the past few years, nothing against any of them, but as (like ourselves) Notts County have had to watch local rivals lord it for too long, I shall go for them.

Who do I think will go up?

    Championship:

Millwall; they'll do it just to ruin my summer.

    League 1:

Bradford; they are on a roll and have that big fanbase behind them.

    League 2:

Chesterfield; the old cliché about hitting form at the right time...

Best case scenario for us is Southampton and Stevenage getting promoted. Get the best side gone from the Championship and have the worst team in the league one playoffs who would have by far the smallest budget in the championship up.

With the added bonus that the Scum still don't reach the Premier League.

    I’ll personally be supporting Millwall

We managed a draw away at Southampton. We lost 4-0 at the Den. Think it’s better for us as a club if Millwall go up and I’ll cheer if they do.

    Stevenage I agree on though.

As I posted above I think those two will fight it out at Wembley but although Southampton are in good form so are Millwall. They aren’t free flowing but are difficult to beat. They have a habit of scoring in every game. As much as I want Saints to beat them should that eventually be the final I wouldn’t like to call it.

Surely for the benefit of our club we need Southampton and Stevenage to be promoted.

Stevenage would be nice as they will struggle financially in our league.

    Eh?
By your logic… We managed a draw at home to Millwall. We lost 5-1 at home to Southampton. I think it’s better for us as a club if Southampton go up and I’ll cheer if they do.

Not really sure what your point was, other than to be contrary.
Over the two games against Southampton, we got a draw and a loss, with an aggregate score of 6-2.
Over the two games against Millwall, we got a draw and a loss, with an aggregate score of 5-1.
So on the basis of scores only, there’s no real difference.
