    Paul Curtis?
    Correct.

Lovely guy, came with his wife and 97 year old mother and stayed for ages.

Will never forget his late goal at Fulham that gave us a 1 0 win, our first success on the road in over a year.

Remember that well, freezing to death on the (then) open Putney end. In those days, away wins usually coincided with sightings of Halleys Comet.

I am likely misremembering or confusing different people but did he / his family have a connection to a Greengrocer business in Plumstead?

Quite likely as I remember talking to him at a party in Plumstead @1982.

We got this message from Paul Curtis' wife this morning.

    "Hi Henry,

Just wanted to say a big thank you to you and your fellow volunteers for making this morning so memorable for us all. It was great to meet everyone and to share fond memories and stories of years gone by.

I am sure Paul will definitely be back to the valley in the near future.

Please pass on all our thanks to all concerned for a brilliant museum and for making us all so welcome.

    Kind regards

    Claire
ps you said to remind you about sending through the photos please!"

His dad Eddie owned the shop and he also ran local youth football team Kestrel Rangers, for whom Paul played.
